Not a hit directed towards anyone. Simply stating that the good players in lanc have a hard time finding time to play anymore, and I doubt I could convince anyone to go to bmore to play marvel.
Unless there’s something more local sooner, you can see me at NEC for a money match. I might be going to ctf in the near future if liston keeps holding down these godlike tournies, so that could also be another possibility.
Why not try convincing them? We have more players than you do. I’m sure there would be quite a bit of some money matching goodness if you Lancaster people came down here. We only play on console though. Our friend’s cab broke… I’ll see if he can fix it yet though, or if he already did…
Street Fighter II (SNES) Former Master Coming to your State!
Hi, I’m in my early 30s, a professional, and live in CT and game w/some guys in New London (not far from the Rhode Island Boarder). I love SF2 World Warriors (SNES version), and I’m almost as good at SFAC. There is an opportunity for me to come to you, if you are the best SF2 player you know and are seeking a challenge. I’ll be driving from CT to SC. I have some stops.
Here’s my schedule (July '08 to Aug '08):
- My 1st stop is King of Prussia, PA. I’ll be there late at night on the 24th, and will leave early afternoon on the 26th.
- Silver Spring, MD: Night of 26th through early afternoon of 28th.
- SC (Loris to 1/2 hr. south of Myrtle Beach): Night of 28th through early afternoon of 8/2/08.
Oh, and here’s the one battle I have videoed from the 90s. Not my best, but up there.

super ninja edit, AD i might change my mind about popping down to bmore for some marvel juice. Some shit came up, preventing me from going to evo, but i’m still on that mahvel tip and if i can scrape some heads together, i might make the trip down. what’s ur schedule like on tuesdays? cause that’s really the only day for playing that I have available. weekends are basically out for me.
Tuesdays aren’t too bad to play on. Weekends are better for everyone down here though. You’re absolutely not free on ANY weekend?

Here Comes A New Challenger
Hello Lancaster. Long time Capcom 2d fighter gamer with a US and Japanese PS2 with Sony HDDs, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, PS3, Xbox 360, and a crapload of Joysticks. I have a MAS Perfect 360, RAP 1, and a X-Gamer stick.
I currently have a legit DC and Xbox MVC2 with a PSX adapter, Japanese Vampire Collection, both versions of SF Zero/Alpha Anthology with full working HDD installs, CVS2 for PS2 and Xbox, Guilty Gear X2 for the PS2, PS2 Fatal Fury Collection 2, KOF XI, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (all three SNK games are US), PS3 with Tekken 5 DR, VF5, and Soul Calibur IV (bless my two Pellican and two Elecom adapters), PSP Darkstalkers and SFA3, plus much more.
I also have a XRGB 2 in the house so I can take it over if anybody has an HDTV.
I live near the Columbia River in Crayley and I plan to go to Otakon this year. I could always expand my social network and I am free to do some 2d fighting in the weekends and Monday nights.
I am on AIM like a motho with a MVS 1 mobo (but sold my supergun).

Some friends of mine just got into marvel, so I’m helping them lvl up and teaching them shit, but i’m ALWAYS looking for new people to play, cause it’s so hard to find comp short of driving to philly. I’ll hit you up on aim for sure. Some guy at my job just quit, so this week I’m working every day, and possibly next week also, but I’m definately down to get some games in.
Side note, I’m also decent at 3s and ggac and I might be getting into melty blood if the online isn’t garbage, so if any of that peaks your interest, word to the bird.
edit: i just reread your post, and saw that you play tekken and soul calibur. the dudes i mentioned above were good at sc3, and they as well as I are pretty good at tekken, although I’ll admit i’m probably really rusty since the arcade at the mall got rid of tekken 5 dr
Yes, I have Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the DC and Xbox and I am somewhat decent at those games. I just do not know of the pop up combos (is it medium punch + up). I tend to play these on my MAS systems stick.
I also have 3s since I have the Street Fighter Collection for the PS2 but I do not have GG AC yet. As for Melty Blood, I have ReAct - Final Tuned but that is my desktop and I do not have any Laptops that can run that game, LOL.
I am a barely casual Tekken player and the last SC I actively played was SC 2, but that will be different in the next few weeks

No, we don’t have an arcade anymore. That got shut down a couple years ago. Ever since then, all we’ve got left has been console, so that’s what we’ve got to stick to: just going over my boy’s house and playing Marvel.
You guys are more than welcome to come down and play some Marvel with us… all I ask is that you bring your wallets and any sticks you guys got.

Lol, that’s me. Preppy always called me that. He’s the only one that has, to my recollection. There are a few other old videos of me up elsewhere, but I’m sure they’re not under the name ‘Baltimore Pete’ unless Preppy put them up.
Now that I think about it, I have been out of the scene for a little while. I may need to go to another tournament soon or something, but I don’t think Evo is gonna cut it for me. I’m too broke for that shit.
