So if you do Marvel only, it’s $10 total. If you do marvel AND another game, it’s $15; so on.

let me know about that other cabinet man, you guys need to get some lo res cabs in there! If people arent signing up for puzzle fighter though why not just put ST in there instead? Would certainly bring out more comp then PF for sure.
Other then that, please do let us know about third strike. I am almost 100% positive you need to do a memory rewrite, doesnt recquire anything other then selecting memory rewrite from the test menu and letting it do its thing. Generally takes about 45 mins- 1 hour.

How many ppl wouldn’t mind us trying to run ST in an old school SF WW cab? (smaller screen) If a decent number of ppl are still interested we can possibly still try and run ST on the the smaller cab.
Funny thing about puzzle fighter; I don’t know who said we were going to run a tourney for it but nothing has been run by me for it. Also puzzle fighter is in one of our h2h cabs that uses hi-res TVs. Sadly I doubt ST would work on them. :sad:
MvC2 is on h2h cabs w/ standard button layouts.
sorry man I didnt mean to imply there was a puzzle fighter tourney, I was more saying to take that game out and put ST in there so we could play it. Puzzle fighter runs on the exact same hardware as super turbo, CPS (capcom play system) 2. Which is just a simple cartridge system with interchangeable boards. All CPS games run at standard resolution (15khz) so if puzzle fighter is running in there super turbo would also. Unless of course it has a PC in it it…
Was thinking more about the cabinet you tried it out in too that your tech said was medium res only; what game was normally being run in it? To be honest there are only a handful of games that run on medium resolution (zero gunner/old virtua fighter) and I have never heard of medium only resolution monitors. I guess what I am saying is that I am 90% sure that monitor displays standard (15) resolution. Its a simple plug connector on the chassis that easily plugs onto a 15 or 24 male housing connector. I could do this really quickly.
Well let me know man, seems alot of people want to play ST so it would be a shame not to when the the equipment to do so is there. If your tech wants me to come and set it up I would be happy to so just let me know. Nice meeting you man, keep us posted about this and the state of the third strike machine. The cabinet that we were trying to run it on was one of our Grid cabinets. Since we were originally going to have 3s in that cab we have a panel drilled out. I know my boss wants to avoid swapping out a game that’s on the floor and puzzle fighter is in our h2h by the wall which are pain to get behind and work on.
I would like to try and have an ST tourney but we’ll have to see what we can do with what we have.
I’ll let our tech know about your suggestions and have him try it out tomorrow on 3s. I’m not at work the next two days but I’ll definitely keep you all posted.

cool, please do let us know. Yeah I havent played CvS2 seriously in like 3 years probably, fun game though and it made me want to start again. Its all about that blanka and honda with the interchangeable guile/gouki. Laters man. I hope third strike is up by tourney time for sure.
Goten: It doesn’t matter what cab ST is in really (better than a 19" screen I hope), but it sure doesn’t have to be in a Dynamo Showcase or anything.

the screen res translates into 15khz vertical sync (the same for all other CPS2 games including ST, A3, etc)

ATTENTION ALL 3S PLAYERS
Due to the current standing with 3S I’m taking it off the tournament roster. If everything is working fine with the machine at the very least I will put it on free play for a period of time. 3S WILL NOT be played officially for the event.
Because of this I’m going to be dropping the sign-up fee to $3 flat with a $5 tourney fee toward the tournament pot. So if you enter in CvS2 and MvC2 it’ll be $13 total.
If 3S is working fine and/or ST is up, sign-up fee WILL REMAIN $3 for this tournament.
Update CvS2 and MvC2 were both looked at earlier in the night and both should be fine. If we missed something please do let us know.
