I got bodied the rest of the tournament. Probably the worst I’ve ever done yet still took third hahhaha.
oh, and gamerbee didn’t mash. He specifically looked for holes in blockstrings and DP’d in every one hahaha. That’s exactly what I started doing to him in round 2. HOHOHO GARBAGE BEE

I’m going to go ahead and say it; I don’t think Justin’s Cammy is that amazing. I think he plays her very generically, like a level 4 million flowchart. It’s the playstyle of someone who has extremely strong fundamentals across all the characters but doesn’t really specialize in her. The same goes for Sanford, Combofiend, Keno, etc.

Hey, man. I was 1-1 with GamerBee at WNF. Cammy actually fights Adon really well. The second game, where I beat him, I won fairly soundly, too. And apparently, Gamerbee hates Cammy and believes she is the best character in the game. So he might be slightly mind-f’ed against Cammy.
Diana: I asked GamerBee if he had played against Sako a lot. he actually said he’s only played him a very few amount of times, and it was long ago, early on in Super’s career, so he hasn’t played Sako of late.
And Airamae: Justin’s Cammy is pretty damn good. He used her all day at A.I. tourney last night and mopped up everyone. His performance at SB:R wasn’t particularly representative of his Cammy skills, especially since he hadn’t been using her at all the entire day.

heyo guys, i’m turning like a ghost around here because i got a brand new job (and seeing how i did most of my posting from work…).
anyways yeah cammy is not really a character that you can play very well while cold with her, you gotta warm up… or to steal skisonic’s termonology from SBR, you have to hulk up in stages until your at your fastest and most beastly.
I’m not trying to take anything away from Justin’s ability but I think his skill is mostly based on his skills as a player and rather than the character. He’s probably capable of placing top 3 with ANY character in a tournament because of his skill at reading players, reactions, etc. I think it was you commentating his match against Combofiend when you said he was so good at hit confirming the low forward into spiral arrow, which I find to be more of a reflection of his ability.
The best way I can possibly put it is that when I watch Justin or Combofiend or Keno or Sanford play Cammy, I never really learn anything from their matches. On the other hand when I watch players like you, AuLord, Alioune or Sako (there are alot more Cammy players that I look up to) I can usually take something away from it and improve my own game.
J Wong’s Cammy is kind of different than most cammy players. Alot of us cammy players include Sako love to rush down people. When i watch J Wong’s Cammy vids, he likes to play with footies and very defensive like what he did against gamerbee. maybe the new cammy would fit him very well. i’m not saying defensive is bad or anything.
maybe the online vids are not enough to represent his style or skill.
well guys its been fun, but now that the cammy changes are official, im pretty well done with this game. I have 0 interest in learning a new character and the fact that this has taken away so many of our options (ambiguous crossups on all our bad matches), its pretty fucking rediculous.
I guess well see if i change my mind, but it seems pretty unlikely.
