Would you ever consider playing someone from Ireland? I came seventh in our Ranking battle on Sat and desperately need some inspiration!!!
I consider myself a pretty good Vega player…I have strategies for Blanka and Balrog…but Ryu’s and Sagat’s are still problems. With Blanka, your best bet is to NOT barcelona and stay on the ground. Most Blanka’s are agressive, so wait for them to come at you then captialize on there mistakes. Sort of “turtle” against them. I know it’s common sense, but it works eh? And Balrogs, since Vega’s RCF is decreasing in start-up frames (yes!) it will be a great tool vs Rog’s punches. You can interrupt his punches with RCF, because his arsonal (besides headbutt) has the “focus attack” sheild…and two hits kills it. The RCF has multiple hits so yeah. I’ve also seen people grab Rog’s in the middle of their moves, like my friend Kenutty…he uses Dhalsim. But yeah, I’m G2-A. Count me in.
Well hes hasnt a choice but to turtle against blanka. But the thing is with turtling is if the reason you’re turtling is because you have no options to attack then you’re fucked because they can also choose to turtle. And if you’re listening to the pros here on the board ryu and sagat are easy, all you have to do is izuna vortex them, simple isnt it? The only advantage vega has is the fact that not many people are used to playing against him hence him “almost” winning some tourneys (even daigo mentions this).
I actually hope to join teams of vegas for SSF4, I heard theyre gonna have 3v3 matches and it would be cool to go in there with a team of vegas to kick some ass
Wow, I don’t play Vega but the Vega Army sounds hype.

Right now i think im a better player than my ranking, but sometimes i still get beaten by people who obviously have no idea of what they’re doing (btw, that actually happens! what gives?), so here’s hoping i join someday, and kick Blanka ass.

That’s why there’s no "I’ in team. You pick a team to complement the players. Makes complete sense.
Would also bore anyone watching immensely. Singles tourneys w/Vega more than proves yourself if you’re that good, which would lead onto you being a part of a proper team.
Anyhow, most, if not all, team tournaments do not allow multiples of the same character on any team, EVO included.
Lol, that ruins this idea. Still, you could rotate who uses Vega in a set, while the other players use their secondary character.
