It depends on your opponent. This particular time, I was playing a Sagat online who was prone to mashing TU when I either (purposely or by mistake) dropped cr.mp after cr.mk > cr.lp, or attempted a throw/overhead

I cottoned on to this, and started doing :db: cr.mk then :lp: ~ :r::l::r::3k:

If my opponent crouch teched = Ultra (Not 100% sure on this tbh)
If my opponent TU’d = Ultra (guaranteed)
If Sagat Backdashed = Ultra (guaranteed)
If the lp connected = KKK Backslash, not optimal, but in the circumstances i was very happy with the tradeoff.

Also, Dash U2 wins the Sagat matchup, only started using it recently, but it’s worked wonders on TS lockdown and is much easier than Dash U1.

Vega can counter hit with Cr. Mk to ultra 2(hardly ever happen) but i don’t think it is OS

I don’t think that’s an OS…that’s more of, inputting ultra in the middle of a blockstring and hoping your opponent isn’t blocking…

And if it only works, as far as your post said, mashy Sagat players. It’s not exactly handy to know because the higher up in competition you get and in offline play, your chances of mashy TU happy Sagat’s gets slimmer and slimmer.

Personally, I’d like to see it done against more of the cast just to see if it’s a viable option. If it’s only been tested once, then it’s not worth the shot. Something that has more results is better.
