Ougon Musou Kyoku - Umineko no Naku Koro ni Doujin Fighter ABC Yuu Agin

Game looks gorgeous. I’m surprised Umeneko got a fighter so soon, but I’m very pleased to see how it’s looking. the Animation isn’t quite as good as Melty Blood but it’s still beautiful either way.

is there any use of the blue/red logic from the anime? I imagine that’d be kind of hard to impliment in a fighter.

Most of Battler’s attacks are infused with blue truth, most noticeably his meta-super which is a huge wave of said truth.
Also, Evatrice’s spider-webs are made out of red truth.

If you like the anime i highly suggest reading the novel,
when you comapre the anime with it, the anime is pretty, to put it bluntly, terrible.

I was expecting the anime to be trash compared to the novel, and I didn’t like the anime as much as Higurashi anime, but at the same time I kind of loved the way it would totally confuse me with all that logic bullshit (that I still don’t really understand)

and wow, animations look a lot better when viewing the game at full fps. They are still a little bit stiff in some places, but are otherwise great. And this game has some of the prettiest effects I’ve seen in a sprite based fighter. Really quite inspiring.

For some reason I can’t stop thinking about Dee Jay when I see that smile that’s stuck on her face.

these specs are the ones on the page, obviously they arent sent in stone, but are the recomended by the developer :amazed:

Well, I’m back from a weekend without any internet connection. I spent quite a while playing OMK, and yeah, like people have been saying here it’s pretty basic, but it’s a good start for a first fighting game, specially for the first one of a company that doesn’t usually make them (or is it second? Does anyone know who actually did Higurashi Daybreak?). Anyways, did I miss any big discoveries or something? Anything broken yet?

Oh, and how does the online work btw? >.>

They (Twilight Frontier) also made IaMP and SWR iirc.

This is created by 07th Expansion, the makers of the when they cry sound novel series.
Or did Twilight Frontier ninja-code the game or something?
They don’t seem to be mentioned anywhere on the site.

Anyone get this working with a HRAP3? My buttons work but it doesn’t recognize my directional inputs…

Maybe a bit early, but is someone willing to start guessing tiers yet?
Most of the cast seems fairly balanced, though if anyone is one step above the rest, it’s gotta be Lucifer.
Ronove seems rather… not so good in comparison to the rest, mostly because i think his playstyle doesn’t go too well with this engine. I’m not saying he’s CS-Rachel horrible or anything mind you.

Try switching between LS and DP. It only accepts one or the other.

when did this place become animu fighter central.

oh i’m sorry carry on.

When nearly all the other non-animu fighting games (sans BB) got their own sub-forums.

or rather, when fighting games stopped poppin out like babies and only so many types of threads can stay open before someone starts flaming.

lololol fun fact sf is fuckin anime

don’t feed the trolls who don’t understand there’s new gameplay mechanics behind the animo. pity them instead

At the moment, I’m thinking:

A Tier:

Lucifer
Eva Beatrice

B Tier:

Ange
Beatrice
Chiester 410
Virgilia

C Tier:

Battler
Kanon
Shannon

D Tier:

Ronove

No particular ordering inside the tiers themselves.
