Lia looks pretty good at controlling the screen. She has a huge projectile with Gungnir to keep you away, she can summon goat buttlers when you get close that also look like a good AA, AND she can set traps on the floor.

Well…technically, yes. It’s just its released now that people got their hands on it from Comiket 79 yesterday. Just a couple more minutes for me.
This game really blew my expectations (not that they where that high, but you know).
I have just finished playing through arcade mode for the first time with Battler and Ange and i have experienced no glitches or problems.

A=Light B=Medium C=Heavy D=tag (called ‘touch’ in this game)

There are also a taunt button and a start button.
1-HP (both of your characters share the same HP gauge)
2-Guard break gauge. Standard stuff other than you can only lower it by tagging.
3-SP gauge (super gauge) can go up to 5. The SP gauge is separate and each character on the team has it’s own SP gauge.
4-Timer.
5-Metafield gauge. Only when it’s full you can do a metafield with the cost of 1 SP. (changes the background) and it turns into a timer for the metafield.
6-Tag gauge. only when it’s full you can tag.
7-Partner’s SP gauge.
Tag system is similar to early marvel Vs. games.
Neutral tag is doesn’t cost SP.
Tagging while attacking continues the combo and costs 1 SP (?)
Tagging while blocking costs 1 SP.
Burst-tagging costs 2 SP.
236D is a unique attack into tag that costs 2 SP.
Metafield countering:
X activates metafield (1SP)
Y counter-activates, cancels the above with his own metafield (2SP)
X counter-activates to that (2SP)
Y counter-activates to that (3SP)
X counter-activates to that (2SP) (now both spent all 5 SP and X’s is active)
So the whole process costs more to the defender.
What I think the Metafield does is to activate the unique character ability each character has:
*note- when you activate a unique powerup it effects both the characters on the team.
Battler - HP regen.
Beatrice - Free SP moves.
Agne - Damage up for attacks that stun(?)
Lucifer - ???
Shannon - Auto Guard everything, even while dashing.
Kanon - Opponent gains less SP.
Virgilia - SP regen for both characters on the team.
Ronove - Counter attacks damage up.
Eva Beatrice - Damage up.
Chiester410 - Attacks raise the guard gauge more.
The game’s Metafield mechanic has to be the most interesting aspect of the game to me since it’s somewhat similar to GNT’s Senzai Ninriki/Latent Ninja Power mechanic in terms of how each effect(s) a character gets differs from one another.

Actually it reminds me more of Vampire Savior.
So any clues as to if there are any hidden characters in this game or not cause I haven’t seen anything of the such yet and those 2 middle slots got me curious.
I’m starting to think that along with having 2 random select slots, those two coffins in the middle of the screen are just there to troll us into thinking there are secret characters. Hopefully I’m wrong though, but trolling in Umineko wouldn’t be unusual >.>
If my laptop can run this I’ll be trying out the game all weekend and hopefully play some matches next week. I really hope it does run it…
My Laptop is painfully average, yet it plays this game no problem,
so i wouldn’t worry about it too much, the specs requirement isn’t bad.

Oh that’s good then, it’s just that the damn graphics card tends to screw me up when everything else of the computer is good enough to play some games >__>
And except for the opening it seems like it’s all reused from the VN. I certainly don’t mind.
