Its a shame Battle Royale isn’t going to be a thing this year since there’s apparently no more console tournaments. I was looking forward to its grand return to form.

If Bruce can book the big room sometime in the future we could have a nice $5 or $10 entry SF tourney. We had 21 people in our bracket this Thursday, would be nice if we could get that many for a legit tourney.

Here’s the scoop. Battle Royale couldn’t get any venue for consoles. I tried to score the Commons for them, but the entire Commons is booked by a Bodybuilding competition. I’m aiming to do a big tournament in Mid-November.
I was thinking of charging venue so that I could host Smash, Capcom and Anime at the same time, as I don’t have enough time to run multiple weekends (And I HAVE to be present, as per the stupid SA rules). The venue fee would get us the entire Commons for the day, including downstairs. Fancy-pants high-rollers.
Also, no Gonq this week. Whole commons is closed.
Battle Royale was an abomination.

I’m also slightly curious if it’s cheap. Especially since isn’t it like 2 or 3 times cheaper/easier to get a 360 stick dual modded than to get a PS3 one?
