Yeah, I talked to a couple MTL guys and like 10-11 people from Montreal alone are coming down for like BB, Skullgirls, etc. I admittedly haven’t talked to the Toronto people though, but either way there goes my chances of making Top 4, and of making Top 8 by more than half luck.
Also, apparently a bunch of people from outside Ottawa are coming down for the Smash Bros stuff, but I don’t know the numbers, and I don’t know if out of towners are coming for like Tekken or SF or Marvel or anything.
Battle Royale had to move venues…to Algonquin. The school will host two tournaments on the same day. One real tournament and one for a best buy gift card.
Not to be a dick but…it’d be funny as shit if somebody printed some extra Bytown Brawl posters and advertised the tournament around and in the room that Battle Royale’s going to be in.
Also speaking of Saturday, I’ll be bringing my PS3 and my copies of TTT2 and BBCP. Mind you, my copy of Blazblue doesn’t have Kokonoe because I forgot to put Japanese PSN funds in, but I don’t think it’ll be that big of a deal.
I think a college and a new building in said college, that’s set up to be able to handle a shit ton of students using the Internet will have no problem having enough bandwidth for there to be no problem with the stream. I mean hell, this isn’t 2006 Carleton we’re talking about.
Loool People gettin hyped up and carried away. Its nice the spirit is there, but it has to be done properly.
This is where a regulatory body/professional league/professional association comes in.
An organization will help support events, if the event managers cannot keep it under control they loose support from the regulatory body. If the participants get out of hand the event managers have to have something in place to keep them in check, etc, etc.
It will have to happen one day, eventually.
