I am willing to try again. But to warn you I try to learn marvel every six months and fail. I am just so bad.
I’m trying Marvel, but literally the only stuff I know from it is “this looks like it should work because I saw some guy do something like it” things, basics in the manual, and self-discovered basics stuff.
Then again, I’m also fiddling around trying to find a TTT2 team to use that isn’t some combination of Lili/Xiaoyu/Asuka, and going all “Michelle/Jun or Alisa/Kunimitsu?” about it.
Speaking of Steam, my brother has the best demoman in Ottawa (possibly Ontario) so if you want a feel of some high-level tf2, add him on steam (Inappropriate Erection Dilemma).

So, Ottawa took 1st in Persona(Psykotik/Joe), 2nd in Tekken(AAK/Ammar), 2nd in GG(Lofo/Colin), 2nd in SG (I’dratherwinranbats/Bruce) at CECC.
Arcana Heart had more entrants than all of those games. -_-;
Yeah, I’d say we had some pretty good rep there. The funny thing about AH3, is that they said on stream it had 1 more entrant than Injustice, which makes it the game with the 3rd or 4th highest entrant numbers, which is kind of hilarious. I didn’t know any kind of Arcana scene even existed in Canada.
Good job to everyone who went though. I kinda wish I could’ve afforded it.

I’m in the same boat as you guys. Only tried picking up Marvel again because AE is played out for me. Plus Marvel’s the only other game Ottawa plays in decent numbers. We must satisfy the needs of the many and our new feg overlord, junior chicken.
We could always bring a scrub station to feg central, just sayin’.
If you have an interest in it, we have a really good scene for Guilty Gear that meets twice a week with people at a whole wide range of skill levels, and are more-than-competitive with other scenes on the east coast. Let us know if you’re interested in getting a feel for the game at Gonq and we’ll bring a second setup. If you like it, you just gotta make a US XBL or Japanese PSN account to get the most recent version, or wait a bit longer for the patch to hit.
I know the P4A and TTT2 Top 4’s were streamed, so there should be archives of them, unless I’m mistaken.
I Will gladly teach marvel to anyone who wants to learn,
with that being said, I found some stuff this week that makes me think magneto in slot 2 is going to become very strong soon.
Huh…and here I’ve been trying to learn Nova(or Viper half the time)/Doom/Magneto, and a couple other things with Magneto being anchor. I’d swear repetition loops shouldn’t feel annoying or semi-difficult, but I’d wager 99% of it is not having muscle memory yet.
