Did you guys want to keep doing this every week? I know it takes a lot of time away from casuals so we can do it every second week if people prefer.
or we can have another day for casuals cuz i still want to be able to play everyone before ranbats start. all we really need is one or two stations, we might want to talk to Bruce to see if that is possible. we can also do it our selves if people are up for, so speak up or forever hold your peace.
I will forever be an advocate of Topanga-style ranbats.
- Set a season duration
- Arrange the matches with the person youāre playing, itās all on you. Perhaps your games should become null if youāre missing a set a mount of games by the end of the season.
- Post weekly results
- First-to-five
- Round robin, you have to play everyone who registers once
- Frees up time for casuals
- Tournament-style can be done at simultaneously at a different time
Only problem would be getting people to play their matches butā¦Iād say give it a try first. If no one really wants to try it, Iāll shut up about it. Seriously. Iām like a broken record.
I totally agree with you that Topanga style would be awesome. The problem is that we canāt guarantee peoples attendance every week. With just running a random bracket every week we just play with whoever shows up.
Sure, running a bracket every week rewards attendance but there isnāt much you can do about that. I normally assign points to the people who place in the top 6 and I will put those results up later today too.
Any SRKers looking to go to Toronto for the Canadian East Coast Championships next weekend? I might have a spot or two in my car for anyone willing to pitch in on the gas. Weāre planning on driving down next Friday night, and getting back as late as we need to Sunday night.
The registration deadline for the tourney is this Sunday at 7PM, so get back to me soon via PM if youāre interested so we can sort things out.
Ah, right I forgot about that. While itād be nice to go, itād ultimately lead to me getting slaughtered in TTT2 on account of being a Tekken newbie in general, and P4A and AE2012 on account of having not played them in ages.
