Thanks for making hQQ happen everyone, especially the people doing the organizing and dealing with the BS. Awesome stuff. With that behind, I would attend a weekly Gonq thing.
Also, if any sticks go up for auction, I’ll take one

I wouldn’t mind a monitor
Though I definitely need a PS3 stick
welp
You have a 360 stick? If so, model/pic?
If you have any extra gear you need to store, I have a padlocked, security-cammed room for it to sit in. Even if it’s just cables and extra junk.
I may have access to an empty apartment in Sandy Hill for this weekend, just gotta help my buddy lead up the truck before its empty.
Anyone from Ottawa go to MAT?
I’ll stream monster my support from here
Sad to hear the HQ is going under just before I move back. I am moving back August 15th so if people are still looking for a new venue at that time I will lend a hand.
I run the local scene here in St. John’s so if people need any help on the organizer side of things when I get back I am all for it. Especially growing the AE scene here since I saw mostly Marvel when I was down at Christmas.
Soooo, whats the word on Gonq BasedBruce?
deliver us from no-degen! and forgive us our fraudulence as we forgive those who fraud us out.
kk
Just getting some shit together.
I looked in to using city facilities a bit and it can get expensive. How much people would show up to hqq on average?
If gonq gets up thatd be cool. Get some AE action going.
Gonq getting back up would be awesome. It was cool the couple of times I got out there.
I’d say by the middle of an average night without shit weather we’d have about 8-16 at a time, with maybe two-dozen faces stopping by over the course of the night. The times that I’d show up, a chunk were us organized anime players, so I don’t know if there were many real throw-away nights. Could never make it out for a ranbat or anything either, if those were any different.
ottawa doesn’t have the sustainability for something that isn’t practically free a.k.a johnny’s place
Stay posted. I’m gonna run HQ on select weeks. May open it this week for the anime guys to prep for Montreal. You guys may need to text or call me to get in. Stay tuned regardless.
I’ll prolly run a tournament on the last day in HQ too.
Damn, HQ kicking the bucket?
Much thanks to anyone that did stuff to keep HQQ running for the times I did visit.
If you’re doing random nights for anime this week before uMAD, get at me.
Might as well go get served up by air dash veterans.
So yeah, opening HQ this Thursday. Call or text me to get in. Don’t come earlier than 6:30.
Yo. Late night Gonq tonight Friday maybe (It’s Thursday today? What the fuck? I gained a day somehow). Keep an eye here to see what’s what. It may be good to go, it may not. Myles is also looking at solutions that may be a bit nicer for Central/East-siders (Monopolatte plz. BasedContra).
In the meantime, show up to all of Johnny’s shit.
Edit: No Gonq for now. Get your asses to HQ.
There seems to be a bit of a miscommunication on my part. I’m opening HQ as normal. There’s just no more open door policy anymore and you gotta text or call me to get in. We can run any game.
I just figured since some people are going to Montreal this weekend, I’d open it up so they can get some training in. Everyone and every game is welcome. Just text to get in.
Hi.
Just $0.02, with regard to any future non-hq gathers (for example the farm team venture), I think the easiest ways to maximize entrants are to either
I realize that doing either of these is often hard, but I am inclined to think that the location of the venue does not matter as much as either of those two factors.
Just something to potentially keep in mind.
