The funny thing about this game is that people still dont know how good characters really are. We still base our opinions on what we see good players doing. For all we know, Spencer will be one of the maddest rush-down guys in the game. I’d like to see that actually.

Spence is obviously good, he creates fucked up crossups all day and has a dash that produces a projectile. Looks cool.

I’m trying to run a team of Chun, Storm and X23 - with X 23’s Ankle slice assist you can setup a couple of un-blockable situations with Chun and Storm’s instant overheads.

I’m just too slow right now to really play them properly, but it looks really fun. Also, projectile characters are a pain to deal with for now :confused:

Wadie, if you want to practice setting up your unblockables, turn advance guard on, turn guard to random, and practice

  1. closing the distance when the guy advance guards - this is key to staying in the guy’s face and either baiting an advance guard while in the air and stuffing with an overhead (he will end up doing some random move instead of advance guarding)
    A big part of this is using your jump-cancellable moves with chun and storm, and your command hops with x23. If someone pushblocks you with x23 you should be calling assist and command hopping on reaction. Usually the B command hop. You can also fuck his pushblock up by doing C command hop x jdownC->qcfA.

  2. your combos when the guy doesn’t advance guard (obviously you need those)
    Also keep in mind that you can always move in on projectile chars with storm and Chun due to their amazing aerial mobility… storm in particular excels because she can get to a range where any projectile excepting sentinel’s beam is instantly punishable by superjump airdash A or C.

I honestly think that storm and x23 (in particular, chun also) greatly benefit from the addition of (you guessed it) Sentinel. Drones assist + the DHC of death = too good.
