Yeah, the only reliable setups are CRT, the Asus monitors, or the Samsung you guys were playing on. The rest did indeed have some lag.

Asus is definitely the way to go and from what I understand from Andrew @ GO they’re going to be purchasing some of the Asus evo monitors for the next event.

The station I told you guys to move would have been Ben’s TV, which wasn’t reported with any lag issues.

Still, I put the players’ wishes ahead of the crowd. Next time, we’re planning a projector and a finals stage so it’ll be way more broadcast friendly. Not sure if we can implement it right away since it’ll require a bit of additional resources.

On a quick side note, as much as I don’t like shameless plugging, I really would like you guys to consider buying a shirt or hoodie. I kinda announce it every lull in between announcements but I don’t think anyone really preps additional money for it or anything. The reason why I ask you guys to grab some clothing because it helps us out directly. We do make a bit of profit on them but we use the money right away to grab more equipment to make these events better. So, as a quick plea, just think about grabbing one.

This is true. We’re looking at ASUS as a sponsor and if it doesn’t work out, we’re looking to purchase them for GO needs.

The plan with the shirts and hoodie is that your handle/gamertag would go on the one of the sleeves (I think it’s the left one) and the back will be empty for what you want to put on., minus the gamingottawa.ca that’s on the slightly lower side. I’ll see if we can take a bunch of the hoodies we have now and get a print on the back with an Ottawa SRK logo.

I asked Ben about adding an Ottawa SRK logo and he said it was definitely possible. We also think it’d be very smart for everyone to have their gamertag on the side as well and get it all done in one shot. Doing a larger order is always cheaper and doing it seperately isn’t very economical. We’re looking to get a quote but we’d also like a confirmation on how many hoodies people want. Like a pre-order, except you don’t pay until you get the hoodie.

Yeah, I did some random doodles and tried to get one going ever since you told me that MTL was super organized. I don’t have my tablet with me though, so I’ll see what I can do. If someone wants to take up the task, that’s cool as well.
