Yes, I can see you’ve got some skills in the ST department. For sure we’ll run the matches back after you get a hold of your controller. I’m thinking of picking up MvC3 after trying it for the first time at the tournament and probably making it to gathers, so you can get your revenge ass kicking on that for a while.

I mean, I can think of a couple.
Magneto’s level 3 is a very fast punish, but takes crazy precision to punish a whiffed jab with.
DHCing from sentinelforce or another super to WeaponXPrime with X23 may also result in a punish, but I would be hesitant to do this on a crouching A. If I saw you whiff fierce tho…

A lot of things that seem kinda unfair in mvc are not as bad as they seem.
For example, XFC.
XFC is a very commonly-cited reason why the game is 'unbalanced.'
However, it is something that both players have access to, and something affects every character in an extremely beneficial way.
For example, you asked me why this game was so good if you could get a game off me in pools with xfc dante.
You are completely discounting the possibility that, in that particular case, you employed xfc properly and I did not respect the speed increase to dante’s moves and was caught slipping, which is what I would say happened.
When you choose to employ XFC use is up to you, really.
I think it’s best used when you kill the first two characters, or as a guard cancel for massive punishes… but those are just two of the applications.
Yes, XFC Sent is a hard character to deal with… but frankly XFC Wesker, Magneto, Storm, X23, Wolverine, hell the whole cast is scary on Xfactor, particularly a level3 XFC.
Also, funnily enough, Lvl3 XFC makes characters move faster than mvc2 turbo 1, but not by a significant margin. The speed of the characters is not what is throwing people off here. It is that the game is so fresh and thus you are often intepreting situations for close to the first time… speeding those situations up is a mindfuck at first.
Unless you just advancing guard properly and block well
I can’t say that I can answer every question you have, but I’d be happy to try. If we can identify whether the source of your unease is system-based or in your interactions WITH the system (for example, some people are not used to the tech roll system in this game… I myself was doing roll + drum buttons for a day or two just on instinct lol) then we can work on getting to a place where more things make sense and don’t cause anger or confusion.
We’re all just trying to figure this game out.

yeah. 4 less entrants than a very popular brand new game isn’t bad at all imo. obviously i expect marvel to be the biggest game in ottawa, but that doesn’t mean ssf4 doesn’t have the staying power to stick around at tournaments here and elsewhere.
