The damage level is increased one level, so it’s on 3 stars or whatever now instead of the 2 stars it used to be. I was watching it being fixed the other day and he changed it

the current damage settings are closer to accurate, on console it takes ryu 9 close standing fierces to kill someone, on the current settings it takes ryu 8.
Word on the street is that low damage settings kick ass. The real question is, after the damage adjustment, was anything done about the sticks?

Yeah. Sticks on the 3S machine were completely fucked. I couldn’t even do QCFs without thinking about doing a full circular motion instead of my usual diagonal motion.
And yeah, damage is insane. Makoto’s EX punch did like 30% damage.

Actually, you ignorant cunt, it has more to do with maintaining accuracy of 3s to the gaming standard of the rest of the world. It was more than me who complained. Dave made the first complaint, who’s the most pro player here. Second, after Dee got beasted on console by Ahmed, he made a similar complaint, that he was completely surprised by how fast he died on console. This speaks so much louder to me than whatever selfish opinion you have. In fact, the three of us had a huge discussion about it.
The end line? No arcade setting is gonna match the console standard. However, keeping the damage setting slightly higher means that when you do go play on console, you’ll be prepared for the higher damage settings. Habituating yourself to higher damage will mean lower console damage will be a positive surprise instead of a lower one.
Higher damage means you will turtle more and play more intelligently, it means you’re going to be afraid every time you interact with your opponent. Yes it means games go faster. Yes it means you might die faster. But it guarantees that you’ll be prepared for a tournament. Instead of scoffing at Ken reversal punishing you with super on the lower settings and saying I’m still good, you’re gonna tell yourself oh shit, there goes all my life, I better turtle up and not do stupid low roundhouses anymore.
Everyone who complains seems to agree, 3s on higher damage settings is a different game. And guess what? this “oh god I’m scared to get hit game” is much closer to console 3s (the standard these days), than the previous settings.
So I apologize to everyone for increasing the damage settings, perhaps I should have asked more people first, but I was under the impression that everyone’s best interest was accuracy and not the life of their quarter.
Personally, I prefer high damage settings. Why? cause I’m excited. I can’t afford to make mistakes, I can watch my opponent cringe everytime I fuck him up. Low damage settings just feel like a chore. If xmen is anything to judge risk stakes games by, then 3s on high damage is a much much deeper game on high damage.
You dont even like this game so who are you to give an opinion of whats best for it. Did you actually check whats the damage on? If the damage is on normal or standard then I will come to terms with it. I want normal settings.

To me it looked like, you just didnt like the game being on low settings so without asking everyone else you did whatever you want. Man why do you think people hated second impact so much? It was on high damage, sure people played the game a lot but thats because thats all we had until 3s came.
Just do this: Fix the sticks for the machine and if you havent checked, please do so to see where the damage is at. (Ex: if its out of 4 stars, it should be on 2 stars and not 3.) That would be appreciated. Thank you
i second khiem on this one.The damage setting gives “super art” its true meaning.It does feel weird to see your life bar go so fast(damn chunli) but the game IS far more intense than before

hey, dont insult my Ex lightning legs just cause i almost beat you with it once.
