Other Fighters - Good Games

I understand 100%… it’s just like riding a bike. You start out with that little push… but keeping the balance is all on you

I don’t play BB anymore.

Kombo, you want to play? Last time you said your Vega, I don’t wanna play against Vega . I play at night because that’s when my connection is better.

GGs to everyone I played in BB the past few days

Thanks for the sessions the other day Killey. I really have a long way to go. Seems I need to work on some setups for crouching opponents and improve in many things. A very educational beat down, despite how free it might have felt for you. :xeye:

Also, thanks Halfro for teaching me the Arakune matchup. That was a horrifyingly rough start. Now I learn to avoid being cursed at all times, even if I gotta barrier burst near full health, that shit is just too dangerous.

GGs brotha, I forgot to hit this thread up!
Yeah that curse stuff is horrible, dont forget to use that teleport off of his drives to get to me sometimes.

Well that’s the thing, I’m pretty clueless about the timing on that, believe I was trying lol. I felt safer bursting early than trying to guess when I was gonna get hit from something off the side of the screen. I think I should hit up training mode so I’m not so clueless next time we play. Learning while playing isn’t really a good idea when my opponent knows exactly what the hell he is doing xD Gotta get our Evo '10 practice in now while we can.

hey guys, if anyone wants to play 2morrow night, I’m down for Street Fighter 4. =)

GGs to Raging-RavenSRK. I need to work on that Viper more, want to start using her instead of Sagat now.

No worries. I’m just very familiar with all of the match ups so I now how to approach every character plus Jin either has 6-4 or 5-5 match ups so while I do work for my victories it’s never a huge uphill battle for me. You need to utilize your D autoguard counters some more but the timing on these becomes tight and it’s more about knowing the match up and knowing which D counter beats which move, etc… Try to buffer into Daifuka some more but to minimize the proration I think it needs to start with a CH jD or 2D.

Your oki game is lacking and Bang’s biggest strenght is his oki mix up games and it’s basically how he maintains momentum of the match. Letting me get away from your oki game hurts you a lot as you have no real good means on purely rushing Jin down due to his high priority moves and DP’s. Utilize his movement a lot more and space your pokes better as preemptive j.A’s, j.B’s will actually beat out my j.B’s but not on reaction.

You can get some good pressure with TK Nails but you have to weigh the cost/rewards of doing that as the guard crush set ups and nail rush downs cost Bang a lot of his nails and you don’t deal the greatest damage.

You have to be careful with bursting in this game. I actually don’t like the burst system in this game compared to Guilty Gear. In GG there wasn’t any detrimental factor to using Burst so you could use it offensively and defensively and it wouldn’t be that bad. In BB it’s strictly a defensive purpose with the exception of specific guard break scenarios but overall it’s much more detrimental to bursting early then bursting late. Now because of this everyone saves their burst for the end and it becomes really easy to bait a burst out and punish it accordingly.

The Arakune VS Bang match up is a total write off, imo. It’s like 7-3/8-2 in Arakune’s favor. It’s a high risk, high reward game for Bang that ends badly when he gets cursed. You get cursed Burst, you get cursed again you die. His D autoguard counters are so bad against Arakune and doesn’t help him in too many situations. You try to 2D Arakune’s j.B and you are at a disadvantage. Try to D teleport his bugs and you end up teleporting into the bug instead of behind or in front of Arakune. Rush down is okay but Bang doesn’t deal enough damage to end that match fast so you fuck up and get cursed and it’s all over.

GG to anyone I’ve played recently.

GG’s to Spideyman (aka MoKuJon) in MvC2 today. Who knew that the bane of my existence would be Servbot?

Good game to BananaWeed in SFIV today. My Rufus was no match for your Geif.

GG’s to anyone I played in Marvel vs Capcom 2 last night. I got my assed handed to me in a body bag last night.

Thanks for the advice Killey. I’m going to try to step my game up a bit. And I’ll keep in mind what you said about bursting in this game, it’s too true. Although, I gotta experiment with bursting offensively to get guard crushes, that shit is too good when you get it to happen. I’m going to mess around with the stuff you said and see if I can improve/get comfortable with my counters. Thanks once again

add me for sfiv

I haven’t posted a GG since I got Marvel so GG’s to:

VDO
Coos Coos
NerdJosh
Psycho Gorath
D MENTED
Smokey
Ijoker416
Smokey
300lb Eugene

I’m sure there are many many others as I’ve been putting in a lot of time. GG’s to everyone I’ve had fun matches with. Fuck you to Rage Qutters.

lol I just got the weirdest hate mail. I lost a match in a really embarrassing way to some Ryu named EminentKill who did tons of unsafe jumps/DPs etc and I missed my punishers because of the lag, whatever good shit to him because he won and I didn’t, not like I’m god’s gift to the game… but then I got a message, subject line “quiting fuk,” body empty.

…My disconnect rate is 0%… I’m so confused.

anyway gg I guess, lol.

I’ve gotten that before.

The other person thinks you dropped because they get that ‘The previous match did not end well and you will be sent back to the 1st match in championship mode.’

I didn’t drop either but the other person thought that because of that message.

GG’s to anyone I played tonight. Sorry if I sucked, I was trying to practice some sub characters. Also, random taunting opponents are random.

Im too lazy to add more to this but I main arakune… but yeah sounds like killey has the right idea to what he is telling you.

GG’s to kombo in SF4… Gouken is too much fun Nig hahhah.
