[quote=AshuraSenku;9404367horror movie list

High Tension
Skeleton Key
The Descent
Eden Lake
1408[/quote]

Loved High Tension. Directed by Alexandre Aja (one of my favorite horror directors). In fact — I saw his latest work yesterday, Piranha 3D. Cheesy, but definitely entertaining. Gratuitous nudity and outstanding amounts of gore. The 3D effects were not as surreal as My BLoody Valentine 3D, but were nonetheless fairly impressive.
Haven’t seen Skeleton Key — not sure if that qualifies as horror in my book
The Descent was the last movie that I saw that was actually a little scary (am I the only one?). I enjoyed it… recently watched the straight-to-DVD sequel… though not as good (naturally), it was a lot better than your standard straight-to-DVD fare. I recommend it if you enjoyed the original.
Eden Lake was a surprise! I really enjoyed it. There’s a million and 1 ‘crazies out by the lakehouse’ type movies, but this one stood out.
1408 — I love John Cusack (top 5 fave actors), but this was along the same lines as his other recent ‘horror’ fare (Identity) IMO. Not bad, but not great.

Not much time free right now, so I’ll throw down a few more quick horror suggestions (glad you like Martyrs, I told you that shit was raw!)

  • Frontiers (don’t recall if I mentioned this last time)
  • Sheitan (extremely entertaining French fare, and some amazing horror fx)
  • Dead Alive — absolutely more comedy than horror, but this is an absolute classic. If you heard about a horror movie with a famous lawnmower scene — this is the one.
  • Sleepaway Camp series — most of us here have seen at least one of this series. The original is dated, but still has what’s considered one of the most shocking endings in cinematic history. My favorite is part 2 — some extremely fun and original death scenes.

Munch on those for now, I’ll update later

Just skimmed past 2 pages — who all is planning on attending Rocky’s Reply on Sunday night? I’m definitely there.

i’m goin, should be fun.

GGs to the gang at Nestor’s last night. The Kissimmee crew needs to make it out more often, I love fresh meat.

Oh, okay, now a man can’t even say “meat” without getting a pause? Is eating inherently sexual to you, Ian? It’s not like I specified that the meat was in sausage form or something.

I like my women with a little bit of meat.

so… sausage fest last night?

Was there an update on whether the tourney on Sunday night @ Rocky’s is 360 or PS3? And are casuals allowed in advance?

are u saying u go both ways?
