Once Kenny masters the new CS Bang combos he will be yet another strong saltbringer with everybody’s favorite top-tier ninja. Took him like a whopping 10 minutes after watching my brother play for him to start consistently comboing Daifunka off of 623B. He already makes great use of Bang’s mobility for air footsies. Give him a week in the lab and he’ll be good to go.
Nix is still a beast, no surprises there. Dude makes Lambda look like Nu. The fact that so many people managed to drag out their sets against him (and even win, in a couple cases) when he was on point says a lot for how quickly people are taking to this game.
Rico started to show some really good adaptation by the end of the night. He’s starting to learn patience, which will have some good effects on both his offense and his defense in the long term. (Seriously, nice curse dodging in that one round vs. Tsak…and when you finally got cursed with a massive life lead, you held onto it and didn’t throw it away trying to thrash out. Even though you eventually lost the match, that kind of stuff will become more natural as you learn to use Makoto’s tools beyond just mad jab RTSD. Sometimes it’s more what you DON’T do than what you DO that wins you matches.)
God, Tager mirrors are so much more fun than Bison mirrors it’s not even funny. So many more twists and turns trying to frame-trap the other guy beyond “is he going to loop-play c. LK xx LK Knee Press on me, or is he going to throw a roundhouse in there instead?”. Magnetism, Spark Bolt and the tip of B Sledge hitbox keep people a lot more honest, too. I honestly don’t look forward to going back to Super after tonight. Feels like this game will take a lot longer to get stale than CT.

GG’s to everyone at Senkei’s tonight. Mental notes to self (will probably process better if said out loud):
- Don’t get cursed by Arakune.
- Don’t get air thrown by Arakune (See #1).
- Top-tier anti-Bang strategy: Rip out the A button on the other guy’s stick. Watch him panic for lack of knowing what to do. Fucking 5A.
- Hit j.A more for close air-to-air engagements, especially against Bang (See #3).
- Learn how to close in on Lambda.
- Stop eating wake-up/reversal supers. This isn’t SSF4 anymore.
- Learn better combo follow-ups in different situations. Fuck Arakune’s hitbox.
Carlos and I will be hosting later today starting around 7:30 and anyone is welcome to come. I have two 360 setups and two TE sticks but, I have plenty of room if someone wants to bring another set up.

we’ve been hosting pretty much every thursday and saturday now for about…6 monthes or better…
The problem with listing it a day ahead of time is a lot of these are random happenstance(aside from the scheduled ones) when someone finds out they don’t have anything to do that evening and decide to host. What part of town are you on?
