Hope you all stay safe tomorrow lol I’ll be working 13 hours at Gamestop by JCPenney in FL Mall. Gonna be the first time I work on a Black Friday, time to check what all the hype is about.
Well I just picked up 2 more EVO Monitors at 130 each as a black friday sale so I’ll have quite a few potential setups. Running a 3v3 and Singles in a short time frame is tough, but now that I have a couple extra monitors I will Fit it in somehow. I just need people to bring XBox with Hdmi for 2 more setups to the monitors and it should be no problem running a 3v3.
Posted that in the Rockys Tourney Thread. So will be needing some HDMI xbox’s so we can have like 10 setups to blow through the tourneys.
I’m sure we’ll find a way of breezing through it. When I ran tournaments for Smash it was necessity to run doubles and singles at the same event; and thankfully a single match of SF4 doesn’t last 8 minutes. It can very easily be done.
I thought the reason everything was so slow at 3DP was because we were trying to get a lot of matches on the stream.
Also: About the Hori sticks; Hori makes phenominal products… even their “SE” fight-sticks last a really long time and are just as easy to mod if not easier.
Fuck Black Friday lol. Eva said the line for the Best Buy by the FL Mall was wrapped around the building before the store closed last night. Ridiculous. Standing in line for 8.5+ hours to save $100 on an item or 2? I’ll pass.
No lines for Cyber Monday =)
@Dro — so stoked you want to learn Sim! I’m down to swing through later and show you a few things. Have you learned his short slide xx super yet?
@Jebailey — Anybody that says they aren’t a fan of racing games is a liar (at best they’re a closet racing game fan). I literally have 300+ hours of my life dedicated to the GT series. Too good. The only thing that blows are those ridiculous 24 hour endurance races. 24 hours? Really?!? I hope they’ve changed that around a little bit.
@Rafy — do a roll call for anybody that wants to go in on that deal. Didn’t Ben say yesterday he’d be down to go splitsies with somebody on that deal? It probably won’t be too difficult to find somebody willing to throw $75 for a brand new TE. Just specify that you’re in the market for a PS3 stick, since I don’t think you can mix & match (i.e. 1 360 and 1 PS3 stick for $150) — but I very well might be mistaken.
@Rafy I am still interested in the deal as long as we can go 75/75 on it. PS3 stick is fine with me; I wanted a PS3 TE anyway and could probably put an MC Cthulu in this one for PS2 support as well (I’ll ask my brother to look up what’s involved with a PS3 TE.)
PM me if you’re interested and we can work out the details.
Actually iI’m more inclined towards a 360 stick for the fact that it is guaranteed to work on a PC and FL is 360 central for tournaments. I can always just dual mod it for my PS3, afterward.
I need one now more than ever, my sister’s boyfriend is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist. REALLY good, and he might make me some custom /te art work involving straw hat pirates as SF characters…SO hype!!
Agreed with the GT 24hours endurance races. I had to play, pause, go to sleep, come back unpause and finish the race. Waaaay too long. I spent more time trying to get Gold in all the license’s tests. Other fav racing game is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, was thinking about getting this one, but there are too many games and too little money. Plus all the other stuff I need to buy that are not video game related. I’ll just wait til they go on sale.
Hope, everyone enjoyed their Turkey day yesterday. Im about to dive in some leftovers in a minute.
Yeah man, I’ve been playing so much of just Super this year I forgot my passion for other games. I bumped my Gamefly from 1 game to 4 just for this holiday season with so much coming up. I’m loving GT5 especially since with the pre order super cars I got them, I can use them for all the starting races without restrictions so I’m flying through career mode lol.
I have Hot pursuit coming in the mail today, I really want to play it as well as some Kinect games to really get a feel for what it’s capable of.
