Unfortunately, I cannot offer much help in the laptop department, and I’ve never owned a Macbook. My only advice is to look around constantly for a better price on the one you’re interested in most, esp. with Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Xmas deals coming up. Good luck!
Splatterhouse released on XBOX/PS3 today! I’m gonna wait a day or 2 to read some reviews, as there are very few out there. It got a 6/10 in the one review I was able to find. Not going to bat down the doors to get it. I’ll probably end up getting NBA Jam & Splatterhouse simultaneously though.

Dude. I would be so down for this. Shit, if I had known this at 3D Perception, it would have been on. In fact, tell you what. Next Rocky’s, MM $20 FT10 Random Select. Re-random if the same character AND ultra comes up more than once. I really don’t even give a shit about the money, but it would give me MORE of a reason to step my game up with 90% of the cast. Instead of doing a FT10, though… I like Hamilton’s idea of doing a round robin (or we could do triple round robin for 4 to 6 players, double for 8 to 12, single for 16 — just for example, not concrete numbers).I think we could get a small group of us together, all throw in $5 to $10 each, and we’ll do winner takes all, or payout to top 2, where 1st would get all the $ except for the entry fee (which would go back to 2nd place). This way you can test everybody’s random select abilities. More details to come for sure about this.

I just checked out Splatterhouse from work and I’m not too fond of it. The gameplay is pretty redundant and the mask that keeps you company the whole time will not shut the fuck up. There are some sequences that try to emulate the old style Splatterhouse which is a nice nod but doesn’t justify a $60 price tag.

I think it’ll actually work towards your style since you’re a floor player…me personally I prefer a nice sturdy chair of coffee table at a good level away from my seat…so it would just distort the height I’m used to…and if god forbid I have to put it on my lap…I’d just be overly intimidated :P!

As much as the new Macbook air is the sexiest Laptop alive right now it’s definitely not worth the price for the specs right now. I’d go with a Macbook pro 13 inch or 15 inch with a lot more power and memory.
