My Venue for CEO 2011 has let me know that the date best for me to get rooms and such and at 99 per night(Rosen Plaza on International Drive) are June 17-19th. I don’t see any big events around that date since Evo is usually first week of July and such and West Coast stuff would be on Memorial Day weekend.
How do you guys like that date?

it won’t make me a better player but it’s functional and usable by multiple parties at any given hosting session plus it allows me play in a non frustrating tv

EVO is when again you said beginning of July? That’s 3 weeks before that So EVO’s promo migt kill your buzz for out of towners by a decent margin. Unless you wanna call it PREVO and give a away some tickets to EVO during the tourney : ).

Well EVO isn’t set yet and after talking to the Season’s Beatings guys it’s really not a problem for all of East Coast. Travelers think in terms of months not weeks when it comes to big tourneys. Sure it’ll affect a few numbers but not by much.

Hmm sounds good then. Any giveaways and of course what we talked about like having top players as guests ad so forth will only boost tourney numbers in a great way. You should have no problem what so ever. There seems to be a magical formula for people that can afford it and that’s bring some out of state pros, bring some out of country pros, have one or two valuable and creditable people vouch and promote the event and it will turn into Gold. Once you get ready on the promo side hit me up I have great knowledge in these fields and i have some great ideas that will make the event get some great attention. Last but not at all least you need a logo, your building your brand well but you need a distinct logo. remember evo ran through what two names/logo’s before they got there’s.
Buying that just for “SDK development”? There are lots of SDKs for a variety of platforms… Do you even know how to code?
Ian, fuck iMobsters. I was at level 59 with baller stats, but got pissed off because I tried to buy $690m worth of property, and accidentally put it back into the bank, which eats 10% interest — losing $69m is NO joke. So, I reiterate, fuck iMobsters. Deleted and forgotten. UGH.

Never heard of it, but just checked it out. RPGs aren’t usually my bag, but I might give it a shot Thanks for the heads up. Last RPG I bought was FF10. Last one I completed was FF7 heh.
Most enjoyable ones I ever played (imo) are U.S. FF2 (yes, I like 2 more than 3 and 7), Secret Of Mana, the amazing action RPG series on NES that were all similar in style, but very different ~ Shadowgate, The Uninvited, and Deja Vu’, and of course I can’t forget the epic action RPG Shadowrun (SNES version).
If anybody here ever played Snatcher for Sega CD you’re my hero. Top 5 all time favorite games. Created by the illustrious Ideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame. Check out the intro, talk about a blast from the past. Brings a tear to the eye:

and yes iMobsters and all the “games” like them are a waste of time. Even City Story is pointless. THere is no reason to make your civilians happy and there is no reason to increase city size other than the fact that an arbitrary number gets bigger.
