I’m going to bring CvS2. Someone should bring a second PS2 stick.
That Chris vs. Wesker MvC3 video on the frontpage has inspired me to give Wesker a shot.
This decision is not so much for the loltastic 100% on Tony Stark (granted, with level 3 X-Factor and level 3 super), and more for how nice his teleport pressure/OTG & reset options seem to be. I thought his pressure was gonna be killed by pushblock for a while, but with the power of assists like Chun-Li Lightning Legs to keep people sitting still, I think mounting his offense is going to be easier than I anticipated. His combos don’t look terribly hard, either; he seems to get good damage and okizeme just following the ground chain -> E -> air chain -> j. E -> OTG Samurai Edge format, and the combination of his wallbounce tools and his teleports should make even his max-damage options fairly manageable. He’s got overheads, he’s got lows, he’s got command throws that starts combos, an awesome counter super, and a face-melting level 3 (even without X-Factor). And on top of all that, he’s evil AND has Psycho Power (witness the purple energy blast from his palm thrust launcher).
Really like the way the execution looks in MvC3; half the cast looks like BBCS Bang in terms of how their combos structure and how lenient the inputs and hitstun/juggle states look. Plus I get what are generally much faster jumping overheads than in games like BlazBlue/AH via triangle jumps and homing air dashes; the kind of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it jumping offense I’m comfortable with from games like KOF. Most of the challenge for me, I think, will be in learning proper Marvel footsies – when to pushblock, reacting to fast crossups, proper wavedashing (should be much easier in Marvel 3, I think, because of the changes to dash cancellation and the new button input…if I screw up in Marvel 3, I get a light or medium attack instead of a whiffed/blocked fierce or launcher), when and when not to call assists. I should be landing decent combos much sooner upon emerging from the lab, and thus much more mentally at ease to learn how to deal with the pace of the game.
tl;dr A new world order is at hand. I only regret that Chris can’t be as awesome as Wesker in this game. Maybe Jill will be crazy enough…

btw guys - just got back from seeing the new Jason Statham movie, The Mechanic. I fucking loved it! If any of you dudes like his other action flicks, this steps up it in the violence category. He plays a fucking hitman. You do the math. Lots of action. Sadly, no boobies.

as i said in other threads i would be surprised if every character had a 100% or near 100% combo. just off the top of my head i know spencer and iron man can do serious dammage with a nice DHC. for example Bionic arm hyper xx Kfc xx Bionic arm hyper xx DHC PROOOOOTOONNNN CANNNNON lol

That video pretty much sold me on Wesker too. Even though I got deep into the RE series a bit late, Wesker’s still one of my favorite Capcom villains and I’ve been hype about playing him since his release. Now I just need to decide on the rest of my ideal team and hopefully stick with it.

I love how the BB has “We are Weebos, We are Squiggly”, and Smash has “We are under age”, “We are a joke”…I was thinking about equipping one, but now no thank you.

Well, if some of the BB or Smash guys could give me some honest suggestions of what to use, i’d be more than happy to make some more “serious” ones. I know next to nothing about either community, so I don’t know what references/jokes they have.
I’m also busting balls on the SF end too (gimmicky, trollin’, mashers), it’s all very tongue and cheek here. If I come up with something I think is humorous, no game is safe.

LPN is definitely on my end of the Adon spectrum, he has so many tricks up his sleeve that a lot of people just don’t know about. I learned a thing or two just watching a good handful of his matches from Hadocon that he was in. DEfinitely one of my favorite Adons out there
Adon can be a great number of things but generally broken down into in my though two types… Solid, and Tricky. I like going for tricks and mix ups and do shit that I think won’t land, but when it does…it does and i put my troll face on and capitalize! I need to work on being a bit more solid for when my tricks and mix ups just aren’t working…and that’s where i fail. Along with MANY MANY MANY other things…
Solid is basically like Gamerbee, solid EVERYTHING, and knows what to do when…Ed is on this spectrum in the rare rare Turtle Adon Sub-Division ;P! Ed is solid as fuck, and keeps explaining a lot of set ups that limit options and just a lot of technical stuff I don’t understand yet…Great thinker and very smart. I’m careless, random, and risky…sometimes gimmicks…which is the opposite :P!
