i for one am fairly excited about juri, i really like the fact that shes using a real fighting style(TKD) but i hope capcom touches up her shirt or just changes what she will be wearing on top its a bit sloppy looking imo. but on that note of her using tai kwon do im really liking what capcom is doing with the choice of characters in most cases, adding new ones like El Fuerte and Abel who use real fighting styles(i know MMA is a mix of styles but still being a fan of the UFC i appreciate him) and bringing back interesting old characters like Gen who has 2 fighting stances from Kung Fu and Adon who exemplifies Muai Thai even more then Sagat does. i hope this trend continues, its one of the things that made SF2 so great imo(sumo, muai thai, boxer, bruce lee, etc.) the addtion of ninja characters will be awesome as well. i may be eating my words soon when some things turn out to be only a rumor but those screen shots have gotten my hopes up.
Edit: and how good does T. Hawk look? goddamn. his model really impressed me i hope they put a little of that effort into smoothing out some of Blanka’s funky animations.
Sadly, I have a feeling T.Hawk is going to get nerfed big time.
Either his moves are going to be extremely slow, or have terrible range because you cannot take the size and power of gief, and give him the speed of Cammy.
And you can’t exactly give him low HP because hes a giant indian dude. So I’ll be interested to see what happens.
I agree with something Justin said about Juri in the fact that she could be one of Bison’s dolls (Juli and Juni). Hopefully they don’t nerf her HP to shit.

yeah it definitely looks like they are teasing the fact that she could be tied in with juli and juni.
and i agree i doubt capcom will nerf T. Hawk’s HP, itll be interesting to see how he turns out.

Edit: also look at Juri’s ultra bar in the second link, it looks like the words “Ultra meter” have switched to “Time” possible CC? some people have also claimed that it says “2010” next to the PS3 & XB360 on the first page/link.

Blanka’s been my main since WW. I really don’t like how they made him literally look/act like a retard in this game, complete with the butt-scratching finger sniff win pose. I don’t imagine they will change it, but I’d like Blanka to look more like a beast and less like a tard.
i think that “new announcer” was T. Hawk’s voice thats the impression i got at least, if thats really the new voice for the announcer its pretty terrible… at least in that version
yeah there is at least 1 animation where his entire body stops moving except for his mouth and it looks really… sloppy in lack of a better word.
Its the announcer because it happened every time Juri did a punishing EX move. And I don’t think you can taunt while getting hit.
yeah it was weird, he said the same thing every time juri did that move(except once which is also weird). i thought it might have been hawk talking BECAUSE he was getting hit, though most characters just grunt lol.
i dunno just hard for me to believe theyd go with that kind of voice for the announcer, but it does make sense to me to have that kind of voice for T. Hawk. either way i hope the US final release dosent have that announcer lol
The thing is, every video I’ve seen involving T.Hawk was him speaking Japanese.

Competitive: Hmm, nothing yet. I feel that I’m strongest in VF5, the Tekken series, and HDR.
Casual: Anything, really. I’m not too fond of SF4 in its current form, but I’m familiar with almost every major release in the genre. Right now I’m playing Battle Fantasia and KOF XII while I wait for the Tekken 6 home release.
Can I kick it?: That depends who you are! I’m married and almost respectable, so the days of playing games with random dudes 'til the morning light are long gone, but get-togethers would be cool. I have a pretty nice TV and would happily host the occasional game-day (as long as beer is involved).
Bio: Well, for this scene, I’m a bit on the older side (mid 30s). I’ve been playing fighting games since Warrior (1979) and Karate Champ, but never at a level beyond the local arcades. As a spectator/volunteer I attended Evo in '09 and decided that the whole competition thing looked like fun, so I resolved to get some games in with the local community before I get demolished on the national level.
