We actually have a group of 5 or so people that play in SE, ranging from decent to very competent. We practice quite a bit, Weds. evenings is probably the main session. It’s pretty social, we are looking to expand our base in the area! (can’t get to Versis as much as I would like unfortunately)

Versis closed? Damn. I guess we haven’t been out there in a while. Just wrapped up a session tonight at our house, good turn out of our regulars. The players here would love to get some practice in with others in the area, our house is pretty located in inner SE and is a hub for a few other things (music, footbag (hacky sack), art, and just kicking it). Sounds like there is another session on Weds, I could offer up our place to the community as well, we run pretty late and the noise issue is no issue at all (I manage of the house, and designed it to be a social hub for the peeps). The most we have ever had in one session was 12 or so, the place handled it pretty well. We have a pretty big open living room/dinning room area, with a couple of TV’s (one is a pretty general standard tv, we play old school games on it ((SNES SF2?)), the other is pretty nice quality for which we play our regular matches. The atmosphere is pretty chill (basically it’s pretty positive, no egos or hardliners), but we are also of course training to constantly improve. A couple of our friends may be heading to Evo, funds depending. If Weds is set at Jetay’s place, we could hold a gathering another night for sure. I didn’t see Sundays listed anywhere, we could open that up Sunday evenings at 7:30pm as well. Mainly though, we play all the time, and my schedule is pretty flexible in the evenings, any day of the week. It’s on the table for sure, hopefully we can get something happening.

@ PDX Jive: If you set a definite date with at least a couple days notice, a lot of the Portland regulars would come out to the place. Even some of the out of towners.

I’ll never convert to stick, also depending on what days you start to head up to p town do you think I could bum a ride off you? you mentioned before that it wouldn’t be a problem and I’m not sure the people I’ve been getting rides from the past couple of weeks are going to be consistent in driving up there.
It’s a lot easier to do combos on a stick
Especially at an arcade. 
Anyway, just got back from impromptu midnight session over there, it was awesome, Ethan is awesome, your friend is awesome, and the house is awesome. Two tvs and one 360, but so much space! We could fit another set up in there for sure, as long as it’s OK with Ethan. 
Thanks for letting me into your wonderful abode, and I hope we continue to have excellent sessions over there as time permits.
As far as setting up a day for a once-a-week bigger gathering, I think Sunday or Saturday would be perfect. Many more people available around then, it could be sweet. I hope I’m not hyping it too much, but I doubt anyone will be disappointed. Thanks again for the good times Ethan, and doing this for the Portland SF scene.
