V-ism, CCs, Yun’s SA3 … and or anything similar like that

I hate that shit with a passion

Blocking.

damn right i don’t want no punk-bitch turtling on me

having punch and kick buttons… sup with that lame shit

whatever happened to that game jean claude van dam was playing in bloodsport where all he used was the joystick, thats a true fighting game right there:annoy:

But for real tho, that one feature in cvs2 for the xbox and gamecube where you can use the analog to do special moves, that shit is dumb.

Also, the fuckin AI in anniversary edition ST. that computer is crazy, T.hawk will dive on reaction when you fireball…and its only the first stage. and fuck first stage deejay too.

Wooooowwww. I finally looked up what tripping is, and it’s absolutely terrible!

For anyone who doesn’t know what it is, basically there is a random chance (higher or lower depending on a number of factors) during certain actions–most notably dashing–that your character will suddenly just fall on his face instead of doing what he was supposed to do.

Up until now, I assumed that people were complaining about some type of sweep attack!! I always just thought “haha whiny Smash players.” Hahah.

Peeps have been sent home from tournaments cuz they dun random tripped and their opponents punished the shit out of them, sure sounds like a fighting game

The artwork of HD Remix worst feature ever.

Followed closely bythe whole game of CFE, then third, the cast of 3S.

The artwork of HDR has no shading to it like the ST artwork did, and the naturally jerky movements of ST don’t help it in the least.

I was really looking forward to Udon redesigning the ST characters too.

This stuff does get really annoying.

Whatever, I’ll bite and throw my 2 cents in:

Custom Combos - usually too easy to activate (A2, CvS2, ect) and always end up dominating after people have the time to figure out the high damage or guaranteed damage setups. Stupid sho sho.

Roman Cancel, FADC, any kind of cancel - Hear me out on this. It’s not the idea of canceling to extend combos that I don’t mind. That’s part of what made GG so much fun. What really gets me is how it effects characters with a DP. Usually the DP is a great high risk, high reward kind of move. You predict right, or your opponent gets in a rut and BAM, nice damage. But with these cancels it becomes a no risk - high reward deal. Sol in GG had a perfectly safe invincible DP that also could tick into a throw when RC’d. Getting to be the same in SF4 where DP characters can use their uppercut safely and if it lands confirm it into big damage Ultras. Some moves should just remain unsafe like they are supposed to be.

Shaquille O’Neil in Shaq Fu as matter of fact everything in that game was a complete failure.

He’s never been the worst character in the games he’s appeared in.

Who was he better than in Alpha 2?

Birdie for sure.

Man you get a hard on just thinking about trashing HDR, don’t you?

Can the fact that MUGEN lets people build horrible half-baked games consisting of nothing but “Dark shotos” be considered a feature?

mugen is just a bad idea on all levels so yeah

jk i main ssj4 sonicryu

Mugen is a good idea that pretty much nobody uses well.

word

I played Birdie and Dan quite a bit in Alpha 2 and always thought Birdie was more competitive than Dan.

Didn’t he have really good range on his command grab and then that got nerfed in Alpha 3?

They said they wouldn’t. Several times in several interviews. All they did was put on a face that really showed the jerky movements and bizarre looking animations of certain characters. Though some sprites do have issues (Cammy) I can’t say I mind the new artwork at all.

The game specifically wasn’t designed to be in tournaments. So, what’s the problem? Melee wasn’t either but it had enough glitches to be played competitively. I mean I don’t mind tripping, but then again I don’t care about smash beyond being a fun game where you get drunk and fight 3 other people.
