^^ We’ve all got that issue dude. All you can do is keep trying until you get a match.
Haven’t really had any issues with lag myself, excpet for two instances where a lag spike suddenly hit in the middle of a match. But unlike SF4/SSF4, the match actually pauses and slaps a “Waiting for opponent…” pop up on screen. Pretty cheesy.
The match resumed with no further issue the first time. The second time the pop up changed to “Lost connection with opponent” and I was booted back to the main menu. This was in Ranked and Player Match respectively.
I kinda gotz the opposite problem w/ online ranked actually. A lot of my friends and other randoms talk about how they can’t cope w/ tactics and what not and get their asses handed online.
With me its vice versa and its pretty annoying. I swear I’m not trying to brag, but once i got online i immediately went upon streaks upon streaks. My highest streak is like 30 btw.
Anyways, my settings are at same region, english language, and same skill. As of now I’m a 5th lord with a 150-21 record. I’d imagine im near the 100’s in terms of overall rank, since i was at 186 last time i checked which was before my record was as high as it was.
Though I did lose 21 times, most of the losses were due to mishaps. My friend disc. my router, I picked an entirely wrong team, or some crazy/lucky lv.3 X-factor shenanigan that I’m sure plenty of you are aware of.
A long story short, I feel I legitimately lost 2 times…
I want more of a challenge and I don’t mind losing at all, why am I not being paired up at all w/ more people in my rank range? Anyone else have this problem? Or perhaps know of a way around this?
Have you tried playing actual people from SRK? PSN or XBL? I’d advise you to seek out people from these forums as they tend to be alot more knowledgeable and experienced than random ranked player #2941.
There’s no reason you should ever be losing to someone using simple mode to begin with. It literally gimps most of the characters in the game in terms of available move set/options when its on.
In my experience, most of the people who use simple mode are incredibly easy to hit with… well anything you want. So long as you don’t drop 50 combos you should be fine against them.
If anyone actually cared to look up what simple mode was they would understand that it gives you a disadvantage if you know what you’re doing. For those who couldn’t give a damn about learning the game, Simple Mode keeps them happy pressing buttons, and for you to stay somewhat on your toes as opposed to playing against one that tries the whole match to do a hyper combo.
Yeah, in simple mode they have access to only 2-3 specials and one super, and usually it’s not a good super. You should be wrecking those scrubs homeslice.
