wonāt have the heart/guts to finish him off in the endā¦ but Akainu having the Yakuza-like mentality will want to die, having failed his mission in life he will probably demand to be executed out of the shame of being so weak. Much to his anguish Luffy will probably walk away head down while putting on his singed and tattered Strawhat.
Unless he hurts his crew, then theres no escape for Akainu, hes gonna get his ass beat. I expect what you said above for a Smoker vs Luffy match, I dont think Luffy will have the guts to finish off Smoker.
Donāt get me wrong. I want Akainu to die, probably more than anyone on this board. I just donāt think Oda would make Luffy physically do such a thing unless itās incidental or last ditch self-defense. (like Luffy unleashing HAKI Gomu Gomu No Rifle Storm w/ Gear 2+3 assault that shoots whatever is left of his ass into the sea)

Youāre right. Luffy hasnāt fought for himself the entire series. VS Akainu/Blackbeard might actually be the few times Luffy will fight on his own accord, not defending his crew.
Iām actually rather fond of Trollzaru. His personality is so cunning and wayward, and yet his power if terrifying in every respect. Like sir Damned said, his personality balances his brokenass power out.
