Princess called it a demonic curse known as āMato Matoā. Sounds like a devil fruit to me. She probably called it a curse because most fishmen/mermaids donāt have fruit abilities. The bubble around him pretty much confirms it. The only reason a fishman would need a bubble is if they had a fruit ability.
Luckily, I was paranoid about this thread being bumped and took the liberty of checking to see if there was a new chapter ebfore I entered!

And a badass power at that, the fact that he needs to wear gloves means his ability is passive and he cannot choose whether or not to target someone. Regardless, itās a very dangerous ability and something I could see a Fishman sacrificing his swimming skills for.
Pretty much anything that has a double-double name to it is a most likely a Devil Fruit ability.
The weird part abouthis 4 legs is the alck of biological reference. I mean this a Japanese Bullhead Shark. Is he accounting for the anal fins or something?
Other things to note:
-Manssop looks baller man! Definitely can feel a commanding presence from him. I hope to see him display a Haohshoku DEATH STARE! in the near future. (of the weaker variety of course)
-Luffy using the classic player curveballs on the princess, sheās gonna be melted butter to him.
-I hope both Van Der Dekken and Hodi Jones both try and double team Luffy, then it will seem like a realistic challenge.

Hodi/Decker vs Luffy should be a sick fight. Waits for Luffy to get Hodi to accidentally touch Decker and Decker takes him out.

Luffy can use the same Gomu Gomu no Switch technique he did to Buggy vs Mihawk.
I would like the fight because I want to see Luffy face off 2 reasonably strong opponents while in his prime. Zoro versus the octopus swordsman Hyouzou will be pretty beast too. I can expect some jokes from Zoro about having a Takoyaki feast. :badboy:
The 2 on 1 fight would make sense as with both roidrage Hodi and bullseye Dekken trying to take Luffy down, Fishman Island is bound to be in ruins, as predicted.
And Zoro would do his eight sword technique to winā¦believe itā¦though isnāt dude a squidā¦so heād up it to ten armsā¦

Actually itās 9 swords, but yeah Zoroās Asura is probably a whole forest of metaphysical arms now.
Although in a fight with another highly-skilled swordsman this fight will probably end with a Itouryuu attack. (one sword)
