Meh, Caribou hasn’t done anything yet. Just shown that he’s a bit of coward and quite the liar in addition to being a hypocritical Complete Monster.
I actually find the fact that’s he’s now seemingly stuck with the Straw Hats until they at least reach Fishman Island a lot more interesting of situation than him getting curb-stomped, especially since despite the qualities he’s shown earlier, he’s not a complete idiot.
They’d have to ignore the fact he seems to be a complete monster, though, which isn’t likely.
I don’t really see them ever getting a Logia unless it’s like a Fishman Logia or whoever gets Ace’s Fire Logia if it isn’t Coby since they’d likely still be a complete noob with it even after two years. It just seems like it’d be too difficult to (reasonably) keep them weaker than the monster trio, especially when people already bitch about Sanji not being strong enough.
I’m pretty sure this thing’s tentacles are the size of most sea kings we’ve seen, including the one that Rayleigh killed.

I can foresee that too. I wouldn’t be surprised if when they face a big name like Kaidou their entire ship could get capsized and the Kraken might come and rescue all of them from certain doom.
Yeah I realized this too. Even then, this doesn’t look like no ordinary weak-willed creature. Damn thing is a vet of destroying ships.
If Mihawk’s eyes were indeed “inherited” or “earned” himself, then I could see that happening. But if that’s the case I don’t think Zoro got a “Hawkeye” through anything purely physical, Zoro doesn’t like shortcuts like that. He earns his strength, always.

-Damned: I also think Caribou is a clay Logia as well. Tar is black for one thing, but the only problem with the clay theory lies in the fact that clay can be both wet and dry. Devil Fruits usually have elements at their most basic state unless it’s a special element (like Ice).

Well that goes without saying. I seriously doubt that Mihawk is suddenly going to get all “Naruto” and give Zorro one of his eyes. Zorro probably did willingly go through hell to earn that eye… this of course if the hawk eye theory is true. If it isn’t then I still say give “winky” Zorro a damn eye patch!
heh. One of my favorite parts was Luffy picking his nose while Franky calls Zorro an idiot.
hmm… pretty mundane chapter, but thats because oda probably sets ridiculous expectations for himself and the fans.
my fav part was chopper stealing brooks “SKULL JOKKKE!” about him having skin. lol.
What makes Hawkeye a mysterious guy is that it’s clear he’s not a Devil Fruit user, and he’s not some different race of human. However, his Dracula theme and the fact that in the recent anime episodes shows his Hawkeyes actually being remarkably perceptive makes me wonder if he’s just a gifted human or something “more.”
What makes him such a loner whose only friend shown so far has been Shanks, a former rival?
I wonder who this masked guy next to proto-Doflamingo and Mihawk is supposed to be?
Haha, yes, Luffy poking Caribou with the stick was hilarious. I like how Oda will just throw in little bits of humor in the background that are sometimes difficult to catch the first time. In the previous chapter, when Brook, Chopper, and Usopp are worried about Sanji’s blood loss, you can see Franky in the background pushing his nose to change his hair, and I found that hilarious for some reason.
