Yonkou status is probably a combo of captains power , crews strength , amount of territory and collective threat to the government .
Also it’s a good chance the pirate alliance may be out of commission Kaidou intercepted them and they either halfway dead or close to it

In Japanese culture shouting out the name of an attack or guttural yelling during a move is supposed to draw out the power of the attack, that is why it’s so prevalent in anime and manga. The fact that Oda doesn’t do that with these specific characters probably means a certain level of mastery of their respective styles.
Even Admirals have named attacks and they’re just a step below Yonkou level.
WG will put up their bounty if they know about the alliance and its great to see Luffy have 56k followers, but the reality is most of these guys are fodder. Sure, they beat some of Dofla’s family crew, but other than Cavendish/Hakuba & maybe Barto most of these guys are trash.
The Whitebeard Pirates weren’t shit for the most part, either.
Even named dudes like Marco “I’m-lucky-I’m-a-phoenix-because-I-constantly-get-bodied” and Diamond Jozu, aka Doffy’s Bitch were getting ROFL-stomped.
Luffy’s Alliance is fine.
The complaints about fodder is all assuming a constant power creep for the rest of the story. Which, honestly, shouldn’t be assumed at this point. Sure, if every single person past Dressrosa is stronger than everyone on Dressrosa, then they’re going to struggle. But that’s not going to be the case.
Doflo bodied just about everyone he bothered to go after at Marineford, because he seriously seems to be one of the strongest people in the world. Sure, he’s afraid of Kaidou, but that is the guy who, according to the metatext, is supposedly THE strongest single person in the world. This was one tough-ass crew the SH alliance took down.
The fighters in Marineford suffered a bit from the power creep afterwards making them seem less impressive, but they are supposed to be some of the most badass fighters out there. Makes sense that they’d, y’know, get beaten by one another.
What I’m hoping for - and the focus on army-building suggests it - is that this isn’t going to take the Naruto/DBZ path of a small number of people having to upgrade like hell in order to beat ever stronger opponents. That just leads us into the “oh by the way you guys are basically gods now” Naruto climax. The challenges are going to be about banding together. Sure, there’ll be a good amount of 1v1s, because shonen manga. But this is starting to look more and more like a victory-through-allies kinda thing.
When the Kaidou fight happens, it’s not going to be simply Luffy VS Kaidou. He won’t be strong enough to take down Kaidou on his own. It’s going to be about Luffy and everyone behind him taking on Kaidou, much like the Oars/Moria fight but at a bigger scale.

I tend to agree. The one thing that the monster trio were lacking pre time skip was haki. Their base levels of strength was already off the charts. In fact the only thing that the Marine Ford arc did was hammer down the point that going forward Haki is a requirement for them to remain the monster trio. Luffy was already taking down Vice Admirals (well at least one in one hit). After 2 years of training he should be near Whitebeards commanders which can compete with admirals. He was probably already the level of some of the new world pirates who fended off the Vice Admirals during his dash to save Ace.
Also remember that observation haki should let Luffy know about how strong someone is. He should have an idea on whether or not he stood a chance against Admiral Fujitora. Similarly Zoro was confident as well. I’m not sure exactly how much “stronger” Luffy as the others really need to get by the end of the story.
Been a while just popped in to say, Luffy’s dumb ass will probably reject it at first but get suckered in via loop hole or something.
I am happy if he accepts because at least the top three captains would make for interesting side characters given their personalities and some of the crew they have already picked up.

This fleet will bring luffy’s bounty up to something like 800million.
That would double his bounty! I don’t see his bounty exceeding 600million
His bounty only jumped 100 million after beating Moria, punching a celestial dragon and participating in the war. That could be due to the WG thinking he was dead.
Kid’s bounty jumped about 150million during the time skip!
The WG was also keeping the fact Luffy beat Moria a secret, but had no choice but to boost his bounty after the war.
With these new developments, though… I wouldn’t be surprised if Sakazuki himself made it his personal mission to body Luffy.

Remember the times his bounty rose significantly? When he proved he was a threat to the government. When he was an up and coming pirate it was whatever. But when he beat crocodile, a schibukai? OK this guy is a bit of a threat raise his bounty.
When he declared war on the government, “destroyed enies lobby”, freed a criminal, body CP9, and then escape to talk about it. This guy is a massive threat raise his fucking bounty TWO HUNDRED MILLION. In hindsight this is little shit.
He is rocking a fucking fleet of 5600 men, beat Doflamingo, is in an alliance with Law and is going after the YONKOU HUNDRED BEAST KAIDO. He is now a massive, massive, MASSIVE threat to the government. He can declare war and fight them now. thats dangerous power to give a pirate, let alone the son of Dragon, Grandson of Garp the Hero, and one of the worst members of the Worst Generation. Akainu is not going to let that shit rock. His bounty will jump to 800 million on chapter 800 count on it. His level of threat to the government is to great. He is going to be a top priority pirate to capture.
