Considering that Roger was his uncle and died only, what, 20 years ago? Iā€™d have to say thereā€™s high possibility. In fact, I wouldnā€™t be surprised if Roger was the one that lead young Dragon to finding out how corrupt the government was, that being why Garp was so protective of Ace and Luffy compared to his own son (at least from weā€™ve seen so far). ā€¦Of course, thatā€™s assuming that Dragon IS Garpā€™s son, which all things point to but hasnā€™t been said outright yet to my recollection.

i think it would be pretty lame if even dragon was somehow set on his path by roger, to me thats the kind of singular logic that ruins most shonen books u find one major point of reference and everyone/thing else just fades away.

ya dragon is like the anomaly in the whole motif of pirates/navy fighting. im sure the rebellion will become more of a fixture now that weve been introduced to more of their chars/structure/motives. of course, this may have happened already, im only watching the anime for now.
