Hakuba doing some work. His skills in that mode would slow down any of the Monster Trio. His movement even appears to be faster than regular Soru. Iâm glad to see that annoying Derringer kid out of the picture.
Bartolomeo is only reacting the Robin the same way any red-blooded male would. His Barrier ability is definitely one of my new faves amongst all those Iâve seen post-timeskip.
The aftermath of Don Saiâs kick, very impressive damage left behind. Luffy really has to showcase something new to wow me with the way these tertiary characters are performing. So far his performance past his clash with (formerly) Don Chinjao has been rather underwhelming.
Especially since backtracking to the previous chapter when Bellamy attacked him. Apparently Luffy used Armaments on his abs when Bellamy punched him and he broke through Luffyâs Haki with his own Armament Haki; which is surprising to say the least.
To be fair to Luffy, Bellamy looks up to Doflamingo they way Luffy does Shanks⌠Iâm sure heâs getting the standard Shonen Resolve boost.
And we still havenât seen Luffy TRULY pissed off yet, although Iâm sure Bellamyâs inevitable defeat and when he sees the condition Law is in will push him to that point.
I know I am asking much but after watching the most recent episode, I think Kyros should take down Doflo. I know it wonât happen but dammit I mean seriously that was fucked up what happened to him.
Well we canât expect the monster trio to be superior or even on equal ground with other captains in the new world. Obviously Luffy being on par is fine, Zoro training with Mihawk should put him in contention. But its still fine if we meet swordsman that surpass Zoro. Or a captain that Zoro canât beat. Same thing with Sanji, he doesnât need to be the best âkickerâ in the world. So he doesnât need to be better than the new Don Sai. He was never meant to compete with him. Besides that, theyâll probably be allies after this arc anyway with Luffy gaining alliances like White Beard and the other yonkous have done.
Donât get me wrong, I see it as a good thing. Seeing other strong mofos actually adds a new dimension to the battleground and makes me feel like âThis is truly the New Worldâ.
Wait a minute. The anime is THAT close to the manga? Iâm sensing some filler hell coming up soonâŚ
Also, yeah. The thing I like about Oda is that he makes what would be simple and weak powers seem so strong in the One Piece universe. Even some of the silly Zoan transformations were still pretty damn strong but I guess thatâs because of the userâs capabilities as opposed to anything else.
That is only 29 chapters worth of a difference between the anime and the manga. From experiences before, I know that some creators will try to space the two with fillers(Similar to what Kishimoto did with Naruto), so thatâs why I was a bit curious.
Also, Buggyâs power is really strong. A bit under utilized but imagine if he was just a bit more battle savvy and knew how to maximize itâs use? Itâs similar to Foxy. His powers could be so broken if his character was drawn out a bit more or if he had gotten more showtime.
If you havenât watched the anime recently or at all you should know the pacing can be be painfully slow sometimes. They usually cover only one chapter per episode and will drag out certain scenes or incert minor filler here and there to make up for it. The anime has roughly kept the same distance from the manga for quite a while now.
