Just watched Film Z.
It was refreshing to see a Nami without huge tits and with Robin full clothed. But then I got to around the end and it all went down south. But Chopper was the most adorable thing on the planet as always.
The Movie was pretty great (I mean Oda was involved in it), surprised it was non canon considering most of it fit and all but the time frame was kinda strange. Just realized only one of the three original admirals had a DF and now all three have one.
Wondering if any of the other movies were any good?
The most emotional moments in One Piece for me were in chronological order:
Nami asking for help from Luffy and Luffy giving her his hat.
Robin declaring finally that she want to live.
The death of Going Merry. I actually got choked up for this one, I wonât lie
Nami begging for Luffyâs help why Kuma was whisking all the Strawhats away.
Aceâs death wasnât as saddening to me because I got to see him smile and realized that he finally came to terms with his life like all Ds do. But man, I did feel really bad for Luffy once he started bawling and went catatonic.
What made that scene truly the next level of sorrow was seeing Luffy literally sacrifice life and limb to get him back. Breaking into Impel Down, fighting a man barehanded who was capable of generating powerful immobilizing poisons, sacrificing 10 years of his life in a horrifyingly painful procedure to cure him, escaping Impel Down, mowing through and evading hundreds of Marines, Vice Admirals, Shichibukai and Admirals, making it to the platform and finally freeing his brother⌠only to watch him die before his very eyes.
Movie 4 is very good, and still my favorite. Itâs how I always imagined the New World to be like.
Besides movie 12 - Film Z I found Movie 6 - Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island, 9 - Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura, and Movie 10 - Strong World to be my favorites.
The injustice from Arlong, Namiâs goal being shattered, her helplessness, her rage, her sadness. These things coupled with the fact that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp agreed to help her without any sort of hesitation really made this moment for me.
One piece has too many feels to really pinpoint which parts got to me. Zoro taking the pain Luffy wouldâve suffered by the one robot-panda shichibukai (canât remember the name). That was a memorable part for me.
Zoro taking all of Luffyâs pain was more badass than anything. One piece of that pain bubble had him writhing in pain and he just leapt into the giant bubble fully committed. Too G.
Dude is the number one damage soak of the group considering that heâs doesnât have a DF ability. When you really think about it, heâs been severely held back due to his injures for over half the series pre-timeskip.
Yeah, that scene was the main reason behind the theory that Zoro could take more damage then Luffy.
Anyone remember the flag scene from Drum Island? This video was taken from movie 9, you can tell because of Musshuruâs presence; but the scene is more or less the same. Just like the top comment, this seen still gives me goosebumps as well; which is just further reinforced by the epic soundtrack.
âItâs not a flag that someone like you can just laugh at or destroy!!!â
If youâre not willing to put your life on the line, do not bear the skull and crossbones.
Iâd agree, but Sanjiâs the best swimmer in the crew. Plus Blue Walk is badass Zoro would likely turn it down, as heâd see it as cheating to catch up to Mihawkâs level.
Usopp would be the most likely candidate, but with the way the story with the gladiators is going, I can see Luffy giving it to Rebecca to help out her countrymen.
I donât see it going to usopp. I imagine Oda wants to keep him rather human and relatable to the average person.
By the way, did anyone pick up Pirate Warriors 2? Or play it through import ages ago. Picked it up last week and just got done with the main story. Need to get the true ending though. Do i just need to keep doing the crew episodes to get the rest of the playable characters? Mihawk is probably the most fun character for me so far.
