Ace had Conquerors Haki. He just couldn’t use it at will.

Yeah but he didn’t use his haki to its full potential, relying almost exclusively on his DF power and that ended up getting him captured and killed.
Imagine how differently the Blackbeard fight would have turned out if he was a haki master.

Enel absolutely had haki abilities. He just used them exclusively for prediction.
I still feel Ace’s death is kinda bull. Akinu simply being hot enough to burn a logia simply came out of nowhere. There was no foreshadowing, and it’s never come up since. It was simply like it was added in so there was a way to kill him. If Mishimoto or Kubo pulled that I think people would have definitely called them on it.

Its not just any logia. Magma is hotter then fire, so even though ace was a fire logia hit could not prevent him from being damaged by the magma punch.
I don’t get why some people still don’t seem to understand that fire alone gets snuffed out against magma/lava and molten ores. Oda could have had to have Ace using his powers on some white flame level of heat and it still wouldn’t make logical sense for his logia body to survive against a magma logia powers.

Yeah this is like the third time we’ve discussed this. Simply put it takes more infrared energy to make molten rock 3000 degrees as opposed to air, so even if both were the same temperature it magma is far more energetic. Same goes for hot water/ steam.
Lastly, Smoker used just the tip (lol) of his jitte which is the only area infused with seastone, otherwise he couldn’t hold it himself. Dragon just held the shaft (lolz).

Smoker’s growing as a Logia user in the new world on his own… Ace never had to worry about him getting into mortal danger since he was under Whitebeard’s protection. Ace would’ve been killed by Virgo in less than a minute. That’s how bad Ace was. It’s even been said he got his bountry based off of his Logia power and being a whitebeard pirate, not his skill.
If Ace was a Water Logia instead, and Kuzan was in Akainu’s place do you think there would’ve been a different outcome?
Do you have anything in-universe to back that up because most of what you say here is speculation.
Ignoring the seeming ridiculousness of a DF power granting someone the ability to turn into their own weakness, my issue is more that that is the only case we have of a logia out logia-ing another logia based solely one their elements. It was never mentioned before that or even eluded to. It hasn’t even been brought up since then. It seriously came out of nowhere expressly for the purpose of killing Ace.
Though considering how dismissive you are of other posters, replying to you is probably an exercise in futility.
You seriously must have skipped all of Virgo’s dialogue when he fought smoker. Ace not having Haki to help know how to dodge incoming Haki attacks, AND being inexperienced on how to fight hard fire counters makes him way lower than Smoker in skill. Go back and read.

It’s simple pokemon really, and I’m not about to get into all the examples they showed Logia weaknesses. Smoke vs Fire. Lightning vs Rubber. Water vs Ice. Sand vs Liquid.
I wish they showed Sand vs Fire. I wanted to see Ace turn Croc into glass. I like him now though as a character after Marine ford now. Really interested in his past.
On the “Abilities and Power” part. It says Don is a parmecia type and his power is manipulating wires.

Huh? That certain Devil Fruits interact with others in “surprising” ways is a direct quote from Crocodile himself. Ace completely nullified Smoker’s powers in Alubarna. Luffy was way way way weaker than Enel and still beat him due to Devil Fruit interaction making him immune to Enel’s main power. Mr.3 was able to defend against Magellan. Don’t recall any other examples off the top of my head, but these should be more than enough (all of them were prior to Ace’s death btw).

I don’t think Ace vs Smoker actually happened in the manga (i could be wrong on that). None of the other examples are Logia vs Logia.
It’s not about Logia vs Logia, it’s about “Some Devil Fruit’s have advantages over others due to whatever interaction”. Magma apparently beats Fire, Fire apparently beats Smoke, Rubber is immune to Thunder, a shitty weakling can hold off the monster that obliterated the entire Blackbeard Crew in an instant, etc. Akainu was far far stronger than Ace, and on top of that his Devil Fruit had a “type advantage”, so it’s not too surprising that a full hit … hurts.
And yeah, Ace vs Smoker happened in the manga (even with a direct reference to the type advantages again)
They did, I used to collect the books so I have it right here with me. Volume 18, “Ace Arrives”.
If I recall correctly, they only clashed for a moment. Ace was saving Luffy from Smoker. Ace had stated that they were too evenly matched to settle their fight at the time, thus Ace escaped with Luffy.
