I agree to an extent. I’m sure Zoro is capable of such an attack, but I don’t think he’s naturally inclined to do this level of damage without some real motivation (aka survival/ being the best). Law made his slash quite casually and as a captain of worth, his ambition (aka Haki) is comparable to Luffy’s. He’s looking for One Piece as well, remember that.
Read the whole manga a few months ago and realized Law’s crew never showed their faces. They all wore caps and/or hoods covering half their head and hair.
I get the feeling Oda wanted to make it clear that Law’s crew were minor characters that wouldn’t be around for long. I think the only one that had a name was the Pandaman.
His will may be strong, but I wouldn’t put him on Luffy’s level. He’s more of a cunning, conniving character with a broken DF like Blackbeard. For now at least, until it’s confirmed Law did turn in his own crew’s hearts for the Shik…kik…b… warlord status.
Just because he doesn’t have a reckless, forceful personality like the Ds doesn’t make his will any less potent. He’s simply more methodical, and right now his plans are paying off big time.
There are many characters who currently have more ambition than Luffy who aren’t as openly ambitious like Shanks and Aokiji, but are clearly on another level.
Bepo the bear man. Respect him or die.
New chapter is out peeps!
Course any sane person is asleep right now.
Oh sweet, new chapter!
that’s gonna hurt…
It’s gonna be worth the week.
The ending of One Piece Chapter 691…is such a motherfucking tease.
Oh, thank God! I thought I was the only one who hated his face!
Go, Luffy!
Lol Zoro. How did he get IN FRONT of everyone when they had a head start? His ability to get lost is like a super-power at this point…
The look on Ceaser’s face at the end reminds me of Arlong’s Sea Cow (it had a name).
He knows what’s coming. Haki only makes it worse.
Why won’t caesar take away Luffy’s oxygen again?
To difficult Luffy already gave him a concussion and is about to break his dream… damn every time I look at what became of Vergo, I feel bad. For his limit time in the manga, Law did go over the top.
Doesn’t really matter when Luffy can punch him and break his concentration in an instant. Of course, that might have been another reason for Luffy to run off… He wouldn’t have had time to prep that particular attack within Caesar’s reach. Need air for that, as well as not being paralyzed and coated in ashy stuff.
Nice to see Usopp talking his way out of a situation too. Proper Mansopp style.
Indeed. How will poor Vergo [S]forget to[/S] eat his breakfast now?
Hey, Vergo. You’ve got some railing stuck to the side of your face.
That makes perfect sense, get out of range of oxygen deprivation technique AND get a running start for super attack.
Usopp’s speech was definitely epic, everyone is starting to see just want a monster Caesar is and they’re also about to see the unrestrained power of Monkey D. Luffy!
tashiga. tat ass.
I want that Clown to DIE! I know he won’t, but I do wish he’d die though. Alternatively I foresee:
Shinokuni
Spoiler
being blasted away along with Caesar since he’s now merged with the gas, thus Luffy serendipitously saves the day!
I love all the caveats Vergo was giving Law and Law couldn’t give 2 fucks. Law didn’t go over the top considering how much Vergo tormented him, past and present.
BUT! Vergo’s warning but him not knowing Doflamingo’s past was the highlight of this chapter. I had already theorized that Doflamingo is driven by the same force that drives Blackbeard, and that warning made my intuition feel even more justified.
