please, luffy hasn’t even placed himself above captain. Much less admirals. Seeing him fare against a logia vice admiral would be good to get an idea on where his growth is at.

hmmm captain as in the marine rank ? Luffy has established him self to be above that rank. Smoker got chumped by boa so I’m not worried about him vs Luffy. I’m not saying he going to be knocking off Admirals and the Yonkou. However, I’d be disappointed for the first fight in the NW for Luffy to be up against Smoker. It’s the New World the home of the Yonkou damn everyone else. ^_^.

Well I’m sure [S]Franky’s father[/S] is out there committing mass murders and tyranny on the high seas. Kaidou is probably the most pirate-y pirate of the Yonkou as far as ruthlessness.

Aside from that if smoker is a VA now then he’s probably learned some haki as well. Which might explain how smoker knows luffy was on mermaid island (or he figured out the tattoo on luffy’s arm, or the axe guys message got through to smoker).

Everything that happened before the war really doesn’t matter. Sentomaru and the PX robots almost destroyed the SHP. Now the big 3 can take one out themselves. Before when it took the whole crew just to defeat one.

I’ll be satisfied if Luffy gets one hit on Smoker, we’ve been waiting too long for it.

How is Luffy going to survive in the NW if he can only get one hit on Smoker? Look at the war and how WB’s men were able to fight off VA’s. If luffy is only able to land a hit on Smoker then they won’t survive in the NW. 2 years is a long time and Luffy’s growth was incredible. Smoker should be a non factor now.

Smoker and Luffy might be a closer fight but we all know Zoro has outclassed tashigi sheer quality of training. I can see Smoker and Luffy being close but Smoker edging out Luffy by a small margin.Luffy couldnt hit smoker because of his fruit not because of smokers overall power.Now that isn’t an obstacle at all it will be a closer pact.

It would be interesting if Kaidou is so beastly he’d rather fight whole crews by themselves.

Zoro is definitely on another level, however, emotions might come into play and make him hesitant. Tashigi will probably be a lot more motivated as a defender of “Justice”. Zoro won’t lose but he won’t dominate in the ruthless manner we saw on Fishman Island.

I don’t think Smoker will edge out Luffy, because I think at this level Luffy should be able to show dominance. Otherwise he has no right to even approach an Admiral, let alone a Yonkou.

It would be interesting if Kaidou is so beastly he’d rather fight whole crews by themselves.

Kaidou seems as bloodthirsty as they come, so I can imagine him being cutthroat. That being said, usually good guys go out of their way to fight alone, Kaidou seems quite underhanded so I doubt he makes an effort like that often.

This is the same guy who was going to blindside Whitebeard in the middle of the war and Shanks had to intercept him. Dude’s a total dick.

Luffy would be able to hit Smoker now, but you’re clearly NOT paying attention to his badass factor, which is quite powerful.
