I think they would spar at most. I believe Shanks’s entire purpose is to usher Luffy into the New Era, not slow him down.

watching 531 a question pops to mind that didn’t when I was reading the manga. If megalo was a shark. Then how is it that said shark was able to breath on fishman island that didn’t have water… Much less float around the places of the island with air…

well originally I was thinking that the bubble around them was filled with water and that it was placed over their gills. but depending on the panel/scene it would cover more the tail and not the gills. but thats been the only thing I haven’t been able to set aside.

I have no idea what you are talking about sir. I have seen Kokoro since the end of Water 7.

Hoping Smoker is the next enemy, it will be nice to see Luffy’s new skills against someone equally as determined and knowledgeable about what is out there if not more in the New World.

I can’t wait to see how pissed off Smoker will be when that happens. I don’t think he’ll be getting as story-jobbed like before. This dude seems even more determined than ever before.

Yeah, Tagashi has gotten to the point her blind self can roll cannon fire off her sword, Smoker most likely isn’t going to just be a lazy logia not know about how to defend against haki, especially after Boa punked his arse in Marineford with it. Which would make for a truly epic brawl minus the need for environmental nerfs like we saw Luffy deal with on Fishman island.

Meanwhile, I am eager to see when or where this beastman race of people Bepo will get a explanation like the fishmen/mermaids have long since gotten.

I think it’s going to be a while before you get your explanation. You may as well treat them as a special race like Fishman & Mermaids. Arlong’s arc was 10 years ago before we got to FI…just to attempt to keep things in perspective.

The design of FI was cool. The characters we’re lame and boring. We hate humans…we should get a long with humans…oh and don’t get me started on hodi. LoL the arc didn’t start getting good until everything was over.

Still under the assumption that Bepo is a human/bear hybrid made by Mr. Room-Shambles and Pekoms is actually a Minkman. hangs on a light branch
