I will honestly say that Jinbei doesnt need to be a strawhat.Dude is Luffy’s equal on so many levels.Everybody is ready to take on their counterparts in the new world at this point.Jinbei isnt really neccesary.Naval Combat we got battle frankies.Hand to Hand we Got Luffy Sanji ,Brooke and Zoro.In betweeners we got Franky and Chooper .Projectiles we got Nami and Mansopp.Weird hybrid Robin.The Battle Franky and the ship cover naval battle pretty damn well not to mention they have coating to fight underwater.Jinbei just might be equal or slightly above Luffy Sanji and Zoro in terms of skill and strength.I will say the water combatant would need a weird power like idk controlling sea creatures. cough cough

Great chapter. IMO it just solidified one of my major points for Jinbei joining. The strategy he came up with for this encounter showcases his veteran expertise and is something the crew lacks.
Also love the meat analogy Luffy gave him lol. Good dialogue, like Unreallystic said, Zoro’s quip about having to find a new captain was a nice throwback.

Edit: LOL, I just noticed, every time Jinbei talks about Luffy & company entering Megalo’s stomach, Megalo has this nervous, “Not this again!?” look on his face.
King’s Disposition aka Haohshoku Haki is on an absolute level of broketude. I’m impressed by Jinbei’s plan as well as keen political awareness by putting Luffy at the forefront to be a “hero”. His name will resound in the New World even further, and I know Negrobeard and the World Government will take notice.
If we’ve learned anything from the Baratie arc is that Luffy will NOT sit still when somebody else says they want to be King of the Pirates in his presence. He WILL disagree with much enthusiasm.
Hodi’s “oh shit” face was PRICELESS. Some EXTREME level of bullshit wil lhave to happen for this to even be close.
