I didn’t go due to Cam wanting to play Marvel. We had a 4 hour crack session last night.
A real shame. I am more than willing to support the place with the little charge.
it’s not that it wasn’t a good idea…it’s just that he didnt really get the word out and just randomly did it, at least as far as i am concerned. no mention at all which really stinks but i rather play in a bar&grill in lincoln where i can get some good food/drinks and free soda refills and no venue fee on top of it.
The guy mentioned it and asked me about it a tourney. I gave him a little feedback but told him that I wasn’t really the one to talk with since I don’t “run” any of it. I figured Yulai would have said something much earlier.
The big thing is that with the FFC essentially gone we lost a reliable central meeting point. MSK sort of filled that gap.
Yep :|. Anyway …
Lincoln FGC Tournament
When: July 14th, signup begins at 1:00 pm, first tournament starts at 1:30. You are free to arrive sooner. SCV and AE will both begin at 1:30, Marvel will begin whenever AE finishes.
Where: Heidelberg’s Sports Bar at 16th and Old Cheney, Lincoln, NE
How Much: $10 for each tournament. The first person to arrive with a PS3, two controllers, and SCV, and the first three people to arrive with a 360 with either Marvel or AE will have $10 off. Each system must have most up-to-date patches for respective games.
Payout: Each tournament is $50 for first place plus 60% of the pot, second place is $10 plus 40% of the pot.
Last time, some people left without paying their bill. This was an innocent mistake because people were moving around so much and there was confusion with the bar staff. Because of this, the bar may ask to keep your card/ID if you order.
Austin just do thursday night KOF nights at JaMarr’s. They go from 9-10 to whenever
On the off chance any of you guys are interested in learning VF, I can bring Final Showdown to the Coliseum tonight.
If there is a character you’re interested in, mention it here. I’ll try to track down some of the relevant frame data.
Sorry Chris, but nobody goes to Coliseum on Monday’s anymore.
Also VF is way out of my realm. I am going to try to continue learning Marvel because I find that game fun. As well as KOF.
I figured this much. Not that it mattered to me; my new work schedule prevented me from going anymore anyway. That I may be left with GGPO for my 3S fix is the greater shame for me, I suppose (gosh, I miss the old FFC days ).
So do y’all play somewhere else now?
My work schedule jumps around far too much for me to get stuff started but, I am sure if somebody brought a setup to Jamarr’s place, you could play 3s there. But we usually just practice KOF there on Thursday nights.
Maxout results thread is up. Big thanks for the showing from Springfield, WIchita, Omaha, and Lincoln.
There has to be something for us here in Omaha. I know there is a group of gamers and we even have had people come down. Is anyone working on this? Just curious.
If there’s a group in Omaha, I’m in. I’m pretty new to fighting games and have been looking for people to play.
Troy we talk about this all the time in the facebook group. We are waiting.
Also Vin, I am playing multiple games, but you should try adding Yulai Yang on Facebook and tell him you want to be added to the FB group. He will add you and if you play KOF, Jamarr hosts on Thursdays.
Yulai said he’s looking for a new place.
i fucking hate facebook
Cry about it Austin. By the way my PS2 stick should be here soon so hit me up if u ever want to play GG or CvS2
i don’t know if i want to play anymore now that i’m crieing
Haha, I don’t feel as strongly as you do, but I have no plans to use facebook in the foreseeable future, myself.
