And why should that stop anyone from coming over. It is a mature rated game after all. I know you got issues to work out but damn! Trying to scare people away.
Because its a ridiculous and laughable rule? The only difference between MK and SF is one has blood and the other doesn’t. No one does fatalities anyways.

How is it laughable? Not everyone has the same morals and its a Mature rated game! Kids walk around the shop all the time. You don’t think that it could potentially hurt her business if the kids have nightmares over the fatalities, blood or other things in that game? It walks almost hand in hand with the no swearing rule.
I am the biggest advocate of “doing whatever the fuck you want”. I love wearing my Ganja shirts and all that but I can sacrifice that for something I enjoy. And telling someone “Its not worth playing at OCC.” Is like telling them “Don’t bother”. Even though its not verbatim that is definitely one of many ways people can interpret. Which just hurts the scene, which apparently is the issue. Alot of negative comments that is directed to this scene from you.
So McNasty don’t let this guy discourage you.

Honestly, the MK rule isnt that big of a deal-and it never actually gets in the way of anything.
In fact, the MK setup is more comfortable because you get to sit on the couch

so only the first thursday of every month has the entry? and if I was to show up for MK9 what is the time its allowed to go on? Im a mod on testyourmight.com so I take the game pretty serious nothing special play wise but know a great deal about the game. Just curious has anyone pitched the no blood code idea? I just moved back here from vegas and in our scene thats all we used to push games along faster without the win pose or fatalities.
Oh and how many people usually show up for MK?
Our scene is pretty small and still in its infancy. On a good day there is probably 15 people. As far as how many people actually show up just for MK is not even half that.
We usually set up around 6 p.m. and stay usually til midnight. The first Thursday every month, if numbers are good, we try to throw a tournament. However you would have to PM/ask Aburnflags more about that in detail. We gather there almost every thursday for casuals.
A good time to show up for MK would be around 9 p.m. since all the kiddies are usually at home. All times are variable though. We don’t have a “time” schedule we just take majority interest into account and try to keep the 3 stations with different games on them. Hope to see you there.
awesome thanks for the info. If im free this thursday ill post up and hopefully the MK players will see this. Its a long drive but shorter than the other place that has MK casuals (afk tavern in everett) hopefully we can spark some interest in it with northwest major approaching.
I may bring my band over to OCC tomorrow since theyre interested in playing MK at a high level. Hopefully you guys dont rape them too hard >.>

That one game was the only loss I had all night. If we wouldn’t have backed out of the vs mode a few times due to wrong character selects, I’d have had around 60+ wins in a row. 30 straight when I quit.
