Hey everyone, Lopez asked me to forward on some information to the greater Olympia area players:
Even though we seem to have a group of people interested in the sunday casuals at Lopez’s place, more often than not, people simply don’t show up. If people call ahead of time, it’s not a huge deal because he can get on with his day knowing that he doesn’t have to wait around for people to show up. Previously we have alloted a large chunk of time sunday for people to accomodate work schedules and such, but we aren’t getting the turnout to make it worthwhile currently.
We’re gonna let this ride out for the next two weeks, but once the Christmas season rolls around, if we’re still not getting a turnout, we’ll be forced to close the Sunday sessions for good.
Again, we’re not calling people out or whatever, as obviously many of you have commitments and jobs and stuff to deal with, and Sundays can be a busy day for some of us, but we cannot continue to operate this session with the diminishing number of players we’re receiving.
So it’s really up to the community at this point: Do you want to keep these casual Sundays rolling? Or do you want to limit our interaction to the weekly OCC sessions? Up to you guys.

What I go on the forms and see that Lopez might close down Sunday night capital punishment. So my brother and I can now be at the place again full time so we are going to be there today.
Sorry! I’m super late today~! I should be getting a ride over soon. Lopez’s sunday thing is still going on we just need to communicate better about who’s going when. I have a solid connection with alex greenshirt, jay and lopez but it’s kind hard getting ahold of Keven and Vincent. I also need to get armonds number.
If it wasn’t made clear, we’re trying to set up a system whereby in the evening on saturdays we can let Lopez know how many people are planning to show up for sunday. This way he can determine whether or not to set aside all the time.
To all the folks that occasionally show up at Lopez’s, try to let Ryan (aburnflags) know whether or not you can make it by every saturday night. Might be a good idea to PM him with your number or something.
Also, you guys think evil ryu and shin/oni akuma will be playable? If so, how will the chars play? It seems like akuma’s health is rock bottom as it is; I could see oni akuma as maybe a more defensive variant with some more health.
As a Ryu expert:nunchuck:… I can tell you that he will be GOD Tier and if you think your going to win when his health reach zero. Your not because IT WON’T HAPPEN.
Akuma on the other hand is WEAK, FREE, and is also a big SCRUB. He’ll just die in one slap and it will be game overs for him.
Family man makes a logo?!?!?

So I know I haven’t been around lately, its tough being a family man… but I was thinking about our little scene and trying to recruit more victims :wgrin: and thought of making a logo for OFC. I wasn’t sure at first what to design in fact I still have a few ideas in the oven which is my brain, but this is my first creation. I was looking at the acronym OFC for Olympia Fight Club and was thinking of Original Fireball Clash… sounds stupid I know but I was in training mode and tried to make some “fireballs” clash…Don’t worry the story gets better. and as I was pausing it constantly, you know like the “slow” feature on some old school nintendo controller. I saw the clash which created a surrounding circle “O”, and if you pause it mid clash you can see one or a few “C” shapes. The fire “F” of course is just the plasma being chucked by Sim and good old dragon boy, Ryu.

But I wanted the letter OFC to stick out so I tried to manipulate the flames to create some what mimic the “F” and “C”. Well thats the little story and I lied about it getting better 
So let me know what you guys think.
I was also just aware of an arts and crafts shop on base, complete with a huge woodworking shop :amazed: I have to take a few classes to get a certified card to work on projects without an instructor present but I am going to do it and hopefully create some good sticks along the way for the peeps at OFC. Keep in mind its a work in progress…
Anyways shout outs to NAH, I have been a member since '00 and remember salt is FREE!!!
Hey Josh my brother and I are going to talk to the guys on Thursday about the art and see what they think about it. To me it would be good for flyers to get people attention, that way people can come to occ and check it out, i’ll probably ask more question there and try to fill you in after Thursday.

I did some re-arranging w/ all the cabs…I just wish the room was a bit bigger so i can fit everything in there & not so cramped!

Sunday was fun there was a lot of smack talk (mostly ryan saying Free really loud and lopez being the master in ST). Sorry Again that me and my brother had to leave early, and lopez be ready for some beat down in tekken Sunday.
This is a quick mockup done in MSpaint and doesn’t quite convey what I’m thinking, but close. Think of the ssf4 logo only with OLY in place of the big silver SUPER and Fight Club in place of the swooshy Street Fighter letters. Then I figured below we could add the salty part, all on a black (of course) tee.
That or I was thinking of incorporating the old olympia beer logo which is tried and true.
I really like the name “Capitol Punishment” though, I think that’s what we should call ourselves. :lovin:
