Hey guys…been a looong time since I’ve been on SRK and about 5 since I’ve played any SF with any sort of competitive spirit. I used to live in Olympia (now am in Mill Creek) but I am planning on making trips down over the course of the Spring and Summer. I am so happy that Gabi at OCC is doing this for you guys. She’s just the coolest. When’s the next comp set up for? I am driving down this coming weekend and am itching to kick it with some of you guys. Maybe we can get a spontaneous gtg going.
I just saw that you guys were looking to go to EVO this year as well. I know you guys don’t know me but I am totally down with a roadtrip (AAA BABY!) and making it as fun as possible.
Hit me up if anyone is down for a gtg this coming Saturday or Sunday. I’ll see if my friends are kosher with having a few peeps over for a couple of hours to play some SF.
Our next tournament is March 4th but we’re doing casuals every Thursday. If you start showing up and playing with us I’d totally be down to road trip with you to Evo we have five months to get to know each other so no worries. Xerox I get the feeling it’d be a blast to go to Vegas with ya, I hope we don’t have too many people wanting to go that we actually have to turn people away.
Speaking of which I’m going to be putting the reservation and buying my ticket at the beginning of March if you want to go I’ll expect you to be set by then if you want to go or not, to the point that I may want money to prepay for the room, if people want to postpone money I’ll understand but I’ll need it soon, the rooms may fill up (I know the specialty prices ones for Evo already are), not to mention con tickets selling out, if we’re going we need to get the tickets now.
Rcaido go ahead and bring the wii, we always end up playing TvC whenever it’s up but I think I’ll will be playing alot more SF4 to try and prep for Evo. however I am tempted to enter the Melty blood one just for the hell of it.
Very very cool…it is on a Thursday. LOL! This might be more difficult than I thought. My work schedule is completely whack (W-S 3:30pm to 2:00am). I am going to try and see if I can stay with a ladyfriend down there. Already have my entry into HD Remix (dusting off the ol’ cobwebs is hard!) and into Street Fighter 4 (making new braincells is way harder :] ).
As the event approaches perhaps plans will change but for now I am going to have to hope that I get a work schedule change or that I get into school full-time in order to practice with you guys/girls on Thursdays.
I get my new schedule starting on March 1st. What this means is that I should be able to come through to OCC every Thursday to fuck around with my new Bison. Since my schedule is going to be 6am-3pm, I’ll be coming through and undoubtedly leaving earlier than the time I did come. And I’ll also be able to bring my wife. But only if rcaido brings his asian wife.
Hell, I might show you up and bring my wife AND my girlfriend.
Nah, but on a more serious note, I can always bring my 360, my stick, and my games. I still got BB, but I think I might get rid of it. I will always have SFIV (until SSFIV comes), and I still have the Xbox version of SFAC. Also, HDR and MvC2 on X360.

I wanted to spice this up a bit & start having league weekly tournament except on the 1st week cuz that’s our main tournament day. Maybe we can start attracting more people, usually “Free Prize” works great:rofl:

Every match is played to the best 2 of 3 games. Each game is best 2 of 3 rounds with standard timing. Akuma is ban.

So to get points you have to win a match. Each match is worth +1 points.
For example
Alex vs Aburnflags
Match 1 Alex wins
Match 2 Aburnflags wins
Match 3 Aburnflags wins
Aburnflags would get +2
Alex would get +1
Alex would then have to play another opponent until he’s played everyone. We would total everyone’s point by the end of the night. We can post the results in the Olympia Thurston Roster so we can keep track of our point totals.
We will continue to do this until SSIV comes out, whoever has the highest total point gets SSIV. I’ll provide SSIV to the winner when it comes out.
Its important that you show up every week though as you wont be able to gain points for not showing up. This good incentive to make peeps come weekly.

Is there regular price money outside of the points for super? because if so I might head down and could convince some of the people around me (slightly north of seattle) to come down and make things more interesting…I planned on coming down once but couldn’t make it for school reasons I really would like to make it down one day…I hope at least a few of you are considering making a team for Twars season 2…It’s about twice as far as I live so that could be a deterrent but with a carpool goin I’d say it isn’t toooo bad…
