TvC isn’t a game I enjoy but MvC3 at least plays nothing like it (In my perspective).

As for the airthrow comment, I think it’s pretty natural to be able to tech throws in fighting games. And clearly only 2 were teched? You can’t tell me that Justin didn’t get 12 free combos in grand finals thanks to non-techs.

Maybe I expect too much from Grand Finals.

I don’t consider it work because all of those combos take less than 5 mins to come up with and execute. It’s just something to dick around with more than anything. Trying to give others ideas since I see a lot of crappy 1-2-3 combos in tournaments. It’s working as well too, people are digging the vids between here and youtube. Even got a co-sign from Trag himself

Try teching every throw in anygame thats not BB where techs are much easier than most games during the grand finals of a major vs Justin Wong then come back and see me. Remember the game is barely 2 weeks old and justin was just exploiting the fact that air throws are 1 frame, have amazing range, and are comboable afterwards. 95% of people playing probably dont even know airthrows exist and are useful as hell for getting out of pressure.

You do realize that other than myself, Hero is probably the only other person from day 1 air throwing the living crap out of people (side effect of GG/TvC for myself). I realizing going up against Jwong would stifle normal reactions for quite a few people, but as far as all the games I’ve watched him play Hero hardly ever misses an air throw tech.

I also realize that Jwong’s throw set ups were probably abnormal to what people are seeing now too, so that was probably a huge factor for him.

Looking back Justin also did the throw setups at different times. You can see the T=RyRY going for a tech but Justin didn’t jump up and did her commabd crab on the ground instead. He was also covering his attempts with Tron assist so even if he messed up you still had to block. Plus I’m sure RyRy had never seen that shit before so he was even more open to the mixups

Never once did I say I was going to be beating any of the people there. All I stated was that Justin got freecomboland off of airthrows.

Yes, Justin mixed it up twice and got the anti air shulk command grab. That’s fine and all. RyRy was playing air mobility characters though. Maybe he didn’t properly invest time into the game mechanics to know that after a tech you can still airdash/double jump? I mean sure, Justin probably had the reflexes to then react to the double jump and then do another anti air command grab but regardless. There are ways around that situation.

All I wanted to say, was that for Grand Finals, of a major tournament, I expected better play than airthrows for days.

I <3 Marvel, even though I’m still pretty ass at it. If I dont get raped in the start of the match, I do pretty well. I just really struggle in early game. After that I’m not bad.

So, I offered my place to play games Sun-Weds. So far I havent gotten a single call from anyone not named Mike or James. Where yall at!?

It sounds like Im either super bad at this game, we’ve got some SERIOUSLY UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME people in our group playing who can pull off some obscenely long nasty combos, or this is mostly high level talk going on atm.

Hopefully Im able to get back to Chambana soon to find out. Ive been workin hard as shit at this game. Im gonna be ULTRA pissed (mostly at myself) If I get blew out.

Car = Not reliable long distance. I want nothing more than to play. It rides cool, but I got nasty lifter noise after that punk ass snow storm. Last time I even thought about Champaign my car pretty much shut the hell down on me. Its been fine since tho, so …i unno o_o
