sorry not really that rare some of the Hrap’s and hypersticks are more on the rare end since they made so few
It’s eBay “rare”.
bah~ i was thinking of the namco stick… nyways won’t be pushing through with the transaction if that would be the case.
So from what I’ve gathered the Saturn Virtua Stick HSS-0136 had Seimitsu parts when it first came out but after the first production run they switched to generic/non-arcade-quality parts. Is there any way to distinguish the models that have Seimitsu parts from the later models other than opening it up? There is one on eBay right now but I’m hesitant to bid since I don’t really know what I’d be getting.
Also, has anyone modded one of these sticks? What fits and what doesn’t? There is a modded one on eBay with a JLF so I know Sanwa parts fit but I don’t use Sanwa.
The knockoff parts in the Virtua Stick weren’t bad. I think the buttons were the same ones that are in the Agetec and NAMCO sticks. As with all old sticks you probably don’t want to remove the stick itself, just change out the microswitches.
I’ve never heard that before. Care to explain?
I know where to find an uber rare Spital Sangyo (so rare, Mark only recently got a hold of them) and I’m not telling.
I bought a VF4-branded Hori stick back in 2009.
I don’t know what parts it used, but I hear that it used seimitsu seeing as how it was insanely over-priced in Japan. Luckily, I got it for 30 dollars
oh please do tell
A lot of cases use non standard mounting brackets for the sticks and so it can be hard to impossible to change out the actual stick without redrilling the panel or getting a custom panel cut for you. Its pretty standard when modding the Namco to not touch the stick beyond the switches.
