Chibi, I might experiment with this next time I’m at Felgar, but I think I can record some of the matches to VHS than upload them onto the net later. The vids aren’t super high quality, but they get the job done and aren’t terrible looking by any means. Also it let’s you record like the entire tourney onto 1 or 2 VHS’s which are dirt cheap. This means we could record pretty much every tourney and money match that people wanted. People have done this at other tourney’s I’ve been at and I think they tend to look better than video camera’s recording through an AV wire, but some camera’s probably record better than others.
If the tourney was in Felgar we’d have one room at least with a VHS readily supplied probably 2 or 3 depending on what rooms we use. Plus the need for TV’s is taken away because they are readily supplied, and I personally like playing on the projector’s. Also with 4 or so rooms you could easily use 2 for tourney play (probably the 2 we normally play in just cuz they are adjacent to each other) while having 2 for casuals where people could setup their own TV’s if they didn’t want to play what was setup on the projectors.
Also for people traveling Felgar is literally across the street from the current location so it isn’t anymore of a drive. It’s also the same direction s just after you park walk into the building across the street from the parking garage rather than into the building adjacent.
Just food for thought. I’d still bring my TV for some cool casuals :tup:.

the thing is, you have to realize that this is OSC, not just SF. so hosting a tourney and keeping everything organized would be really hard if it was on felgar floor. Plus, there’s NO guarantee nothing is going on all day for that floor, so planning this out in the union was a must…
but thanks on the recording thing, but i think its gonna be in the union is a set thing. Being as how we need at least 10 tv’s for casuals and tourney play, i really dont see it in felgar.
