This sounds like one for the TV shows where you just find out the owners are incompetent and shouldn’t be running a business. They never even hire new/more people by the end of the show.
However, patrons and customers who didn’t know any better and might be trying this place for the first time on a whim don’t need to have problems beyond the owners control (and their own mistakes) to get food sickness or worse just because a disgruntled worker, justified or not (at least to just be upset and angry at what he feels is a wrongful firing), needed “revenge.”
You would be taking it out on the wrong people. People who weren’t involved. And should a customer find out should they seek revenge on you? It could be easy to point to a recently fired head chef, especially if he’s coming in to fuck around more than where they expect him, like 1 more time for a final paycheck or tax stuff.
Its also possible anything you do could get caught by the owners and its not going to work out how you wanted it to. Or cause and effect stuff where you do something then actually have to go back to see the results of it. Why would you even waste your time going back? So don’t do shit in the first place. Grow up, move on and don’t carry it with you. Or do good to lead people to not take their business there if they don’t know its already been shut down more than once and that they don’t know what they’re doing.

anywho to OP, get out, clearly things are only going to get worse and I have been in a similar situation. My manager cut my hours from full time to part time without telling me; I needed him as a reference which is why his face isn’t inside his keyboard but I do plan on going full throttle once I find something better

The truck stop I work at (until the end of the week) had their whole kitchen staff walk out after the GM wished for an employee’s father to “hurry up and die so she could spend the bereavement days and get back to work”.
Moral of the story: Don’t work for less than you’re worth, no matter how bad you need the work. You’ll get treated as such if you do.

Believe me i know the anger of getting fired for bullshit, i got canned in a email because i was diagnosed with a disease that might affect some of my hours… but going after them legally is a giant hassle and you have little chance of actually winning, beyond that what would you WANT to win. Most successful suits are to reinstate someone to their job, if that’s not an option or one you want then you have to try and argue damages which are a losing battle.
