I just checked the page, right under the preorder button:
ATTENTION: When placing a pre-order, you will be asked for your shipping and billing information. When the product becomes available, it will be processed and shipped automatically. Please note some banks require a pre-authorization of funds for pre-orders placed at store.madcatz.com.** Your credit, debit, or pre-paid card will not be charged until the order ships**.
"The pre-authorization is not a charge and you are not responsible for paying it. The “Temporary Hold” should clear within 72 hours or when the entire transaction clears, whichever comes first. Not all banks require a pre-authorization; please check with your bank for more information.
A pre-authorization of your credit, debit, or pre-paid card is a “Temporary Hold” of funds from your card, drawn by your card’s bank, occurring when we initially take your payment information, but have yet to process the actual payment for your Mad Catz order."
So if I understood this right, the charge will appear if I check my statement online, but when my next bill comes in, the $260 from mad catz will not appear. It will only appear on the statement after the fightstick ships?
Thanks guys. I did not know this. I just assumed that the authorized transaction were simply a delay for the bank to verify the transaction and/or process it into their systems.
I called my CC company and they confirmed what you guys said. It will appear but only be added to the bill I have to pay once madcatz decides to make the charge.
I’m fairly sure as well. As far as I can tell from madcatz’ statements and what I’ve read from users, it’s the XBone TE2 with a start/select lock, a thicker plexiglass to prevent the bendiness of the previous model and something about the way the buttons fit into the plexiglass which not everyone likes but was apparently done for easy artwork swapping without having to remove buttons.
I’m not sure about that last point though. When people got on the topic of the buttons and the plexiglass I got quite lost due to having no experience with a fightstick beyond the arcades. Either way, if those are the only changes, the TE2 was well reviewed and the bendiness seems to be the only complaint that appears in most of the reviews I’ve seen, so that is supposed to have been fixed.
I live in Canada and tried to pre order the PS version. Entered my address and got a message saying the address is incomplete. Tried entering the address of a relative from the US and it worked fine. Any ideas @MarkMan ?
I’m sure I was on the Canadian site and I even clicked the link you provided to try again. I got the exact same message. It’s even more of an anomaly that my address doesn’t work while my relative’s address did.
EDIT: Nevermind, got it working.
EDIT 2: Now it’s telling me there are no delivery options to my address >_>
