Official TEasy Thread: TEasy Strike is here!

bump

Sorry for the delayed response, just got back last night, and I have an old ass phone that can’t do fancy internets things

Anywho, there’s good news for those who inquired about getting a TEasy pre-evo. I only sold about 1/3 of the boards I made, so I do have availability of these guys for sale now!! I’ll post up exactly what I’ve got before taking orders, since there are 2 different boards, and I want to be sure of how many of each I’ve got.

As far as a package deal? Not yet, perhaps in the next run bencao74 and I can come up with something to allow for a cheaper “bolt on dual mod kit” thing, that would probably include a TEasy, a Dual Strike, and then some zip ties and anchors to mount the DS

For now, I’m asking for my base price of 30, and I believe Jochen will be doing the same. I will probably order a bunch of DS boards from him, that way I can probably ship to you guys a single package containing what you need, that way it saves on shipping for you…as well as saves you time.

Again, I’ll take inventory when I get home, and post up exact details on how you can snag one of the remaining TEasy boards that I have. Anyone that’s PM’ed me inquiring, I will be for sure hitting you back ASAP.

For now, if you want to inquire, please do me a favor and send an email to: teasy.mod@gmail.com
That way I can keep track of things easier, and my PM box limits won’t get in the way.

I met up with Phreak at Evo and bought the TEasy mod and Dual Strike mod from him, just finished installing it. I’m kicking myself for forgetting to take any pics until I finished installing it, but here it is installed! Was very easy to do both mods. Anyone who’s on the fence about being able to do it should stop worrying, I have zero experience working with electronics and ran into ZERO problems. It’s truly amazing, I was shocked when I plugged it in an it worked! haha

I went into training mode on Super and didn’t notice any lag or problems doing combos. Played some Marvel on PS3 with the same results. GREAT, great product. Give this man your money!

Just need to find some of those anchors mentioned in an earlier video.

Thanks for the pics MEGAMAZ!
All these videos and pictures are getting me hyped to finally get my hands on one!

shouts to phreak, i met him at evo and we instantly meshed, we talked TEasy and other stuff evo and not evo, but this project is definity looking on the up and up and i know i’ll prolly be looking to nab one of these asap due to my limited tech knowledge and shaky hands :frowning:
But we will be keeping in touch for sure.

Megamaz - Thanks for the pics and review man, It’s awesome to hear that you got it up and running with no issues . You mentioned not having many tools to work with when we were talking, did you clip the leads of the PCB at all, or just kinda popped it in and rolled with it? I should probably make a small picture to put up with how much to clip just in case what I’m talking about isn’t clear, I’ll probably do that later on today.

Toshin - Good meeting you man, I seemed to hang out a lot with the Canada crew this weekend . Let me know what your local folks say, maybe we can work out a bigger shipment up there to save on shipping for everyone when the time comes

I have a quick question. I have a Xbox 360 TE stick and want to use it for the PS3 as well. So all I need is the DualStrike and the TEasy mod to get it up and running?

Do I have to solder anything on the dualstrike?

Thanks.

That is right.

If you buy Dual Strike Kit, then have to solder.
If you buy assembled Dual Strike, then no soldering.

thanks jdm. where can i find this assembled dual strike? i’m probably looking hard enough but i didn’t see it in the dual strike thread.

Dual Strike is only available in Europe.

thanks jdm. where can i find this assembled dual strike? i’m probably looking hard enough but i didn’t see it in the dual strike thread.

Ohh, yes I did strip the end of the wires. Used my Leatherman’s wire-cutter to cut, then pulled the rest of the rubber off. I started installing it without stripping the wires and it donged on me that it wouldn’t work haha

But yeah, with just a screwdriver, “torx”-driver (had the wrong set of allen wrenches) and the wire-cutter I was able to install it. I would imagine if you had the correct tools it would make it less clumsy and even easier.

Thanks JDM714!

I`ve updated the first post in the dual strike thread. Dual Strike is available in my shop http://www.arcadeforge.de

subbing to this thread

Have you had a chance to install the board yet? If so, how did everything go?

Also, since I’ve just sent out my first armful of boxes (thank you guys for the orders!), I’m going to update the instruction list to better describe the hole “clip the leads of the PCB” thing I’ve been mentioning.

Here’s a picture to describe what I’m talking about, I’m going to add it to the first post as well:

Thanks, that explains it nicely!

you guys should swap dual strikes for Teasys.

Why not make a TEasy Duall Strike all in one, it´s much better and cheap.

That’s what we did for EVO, he sent me some DS boards, and I’ve sent him some TEasy boards as a trade .

Honestly, that’s our next step. Even Toodles asked me why we didn’t do that to start with (and gave me a helluva good idea on how to do testing when we assemble, thanks man!). I just wanted to make sure my concept worked before making the project any more complicated. Putting a DS on my board probably won’t be terribly difficult, but bencao74 and I have to discuss details when I’m finally out of TEasy boards. I want to make sure I get all the feedback I can from this run.

Speaking of which, I’m out of DS boards, and also damn near out of TEasy v1.2 boards. However, I’ve still got roughly 15 or so ‘S’ versions, so if you have an SSF4 stick and are interested, feel free to send me an email a teasy.mod@gmail.com so that I can get you instructions on how to get yourself one of the few remaining boards!

Thank you Phreakazoid! My Teasy v1.0 came in the mail today with the dual strike and I just got done installing it. It was super easy and everything worked perfectly the first time. It’s amazing how quick the whole mod is finished, lol!

Yesterday I installed a Cthulu+Imp in a friend’s TE-S and it took me 3 hrs (I’m no pro just done this a couple times), but had the Teasy+Dual Strike installed and ready to go in around 30 minutes.

When they make a combined dual strike into the teasy board, it’s going to definitely be the top solution for TE sticks  I just hope MadCatz stays with that pcb for a while!
