yes…gotta beat it with mario to unlock him. He basically collects the same stars but some of them are slightly more difficult to get because of Luigi’s differences. There’s one star in particular in Toy Time Galaxy that I’ve heard is a bitch to get.

Hmm… which one? I didn’t find any to be all that much harder as Luigi. I’m guessing maybe the one to collect the purple coins?

One minor other different between Mario and Luigi is that Cosmic Luigi is much better racer than Cosmic Mario, so most of those stars are a bit harder.

Well I started Donkey Kong '94 Friday evening. Right now I’m on World 6, the Airplane area. Good thing this game gives out a lot of lives because I’ve died way too many times. IMO this is one of the top Mario games.

Been a while since I saw eps of Super Mario Bros. Z. So I went to YouTube and started watching from ep 1 again. Man, this is such a dope series. Even Luigi and Yoshi get to rock (even though many times Luigi is the Butt-Monkey).

the thing i always regreted the most in playing mario was using a stategy guide for mario 64 havent played paper mario but just got a wii for tvc and bought mario galaxy and it might be in my all time top five

I just finished SM64 a few weeks ago and I have zero regrets for paying the $1.99 I did to pick up a used Nintendo Power Player’s Guide for that game. I think some of the Stars are impossible to get if you don’t know what to do or where to go. I never would have conquered Wet Dry World or Tick Tock Clock without it. SCREW THOSE COURSES!

Well, I finished Donkey Kong on GB so in total, I’ve beaten that game twice now. The last world is pretty straight forward and not as puzzle driven as the last 7, but I was fine with that. Great Mario game, one that everyone should play.

Started Super Mario Sunshine again. I’m not nearly as familiar with this game as I am other Mario titles. I haven’t played this one since 2002. In the 3 or so hours that I played, I racked up 16 blue coins and 9 Shines. Not too shabby. I love this game’s soundtrack. The alccapella version of the Super Mario Bros. theme is win sauce.

Sunshine was awesome imo, you just gotta get into it for a few hours and it’s a blast to play through. I can’t wait for the new one, I just saw some more screens and it makes me want it more

Mario Sunshine was great but the over-reliance on FLUDD and the gameplay designs around it made it a disappointment amongst the elite Mario titles imo. If FLUDD were an extra item, the gameplay would be a bit more balanced (instead of extra items FOR FLUDD), but that motherfucker is on your back all the time so you have to use it for all kinds of things. The game is more like a third-person shooter than a platformer during many sections. Thats why I love the bonus stages, because it upped the difficulty without it. And the final boss was anticlimactic as hell. Still an 8.5 for me though.

Yeah, those plants ot hella repetitive too and I’m sure for everyone.
But I liked the idea of exploring the stages alot most and those non-fludd stages were real good.
I’d have to agree with the FLUDD being over used is annoyin too, but I liked it alot.
